Not 16 but 32 MB of samples (Pop, Rock, World) that getting this general map. 1173 sounds divided into five Bank, 640 presets, unlimited edition, taken from the banks of the Proteus 2500, the PK-6, and some patches even use the waveforms of the ZR-76 coveted. Contrary to what you may read below, I find it very complete.
A wide selection of sounds, the "vintage" superb, some "dating", but also his vocation, good sounds of pianos, Rhodes, Wurly, Epo, bass, guitars, etc.. A great rhythm section, very good riff / jam too. All with good measured effects, and not outrageous. In all fairness, it is as much - if not more - interesting and versatile a Proteus 2000 (not to mention the saving in space / weight / connections!)
If you have a module, or even an Emu sampler with a slot free, and you are looking for a versatile general map, showing a bit of the history of the range Emu is certainly one of the first card to listen, because it is with the Protozoa (16MB only) the most representative.
The 32 MB of Emu sounds on one slot will certainly more than one service. A Swiss Army knife general, versatile and well made.
No, I have no stock option home.
But go to Caesar what belongs to him.
