I was looking for an interface allowing me to have eight analog outputs for mixing (I use external hardware peripherals) and other complementary inputs RME interfaces of my colleagues, so you can record 24 tracks eg. Not at all disappointed! especially at this price!

I use it on a PC running XP64bits, with an i5 560, 8 GB RAM and Samplitude 11. No worries, no crash, perfectly integrated with Samplitude, and excellent opportunities for latency-free monitoring for recording.

Frequent use: live recording, mixing.

UTILIZATION

Stable drivers, updates impeccable. No complaints. The site is full EMR.

I'm running 80 tracks easily with plugins and external routing.
In record 24 tracks with a Fireface 800 synced to the multifaceted.
Latency insignificant.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had two years and if I had to redo a choice, it would be anyway RME.
The converters are of very high end, nothing to do with Avid ...
I also have an Apogee DUET on Mac which I am extremely satisfied, except that the RME offers possibilities far superior.

I also had many other cards before .. Motu, Digidesign, M-Audio, Steinberg, and none has ever brought me as much satisfaction as the RME: we forget and that's the gist ... ears are calm to work ...
