PSP Audioware Nitro

Installation without any particular problems.
Nitro is a multi-effects four occurrences for each of which you can choose from eleven types of filters (including comb filter), a simple gain, phaser, downsampler / bitcrusher a waveshaper (distortion), a stereo expander balance, and a panner "fractionnal-time delay". All possible routes the signal are allowed (you can even complete a operator itself, which is interesting for the delay) and can determine the amount of the (level) to be sent in each direction, thanks to a small, practical and clear matrix.
It then has two LFOs, an "envelope follower" and an ADSR envelope. Each of these modulators can be routed to any of the parameters (including parameters of the modulators themselves) and may modulate several. Furthermore, all parameters can be modulated via MIDI.
On the facade, ie without opening the menu was two knobs for each operator parameters, output level, an "on / off" button, a "solo" button (always handy) and a button spending stereo mode to "middle / sides", allowing in some cases (with LFO) of different treatments for the sound that is in the center and the one on the sides. Finally, for all, it has an entrance, a setting of "dry / wet" and a level of overall output level.
Nitro comes with 192 presets and a manual in English.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

No problem in using this plug-in on Mac Pro with Mac OS 10.6.8 and Digital Performer. On a modern computer, the CPU consumption is modest.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought this plugin there are three or four years, after reading this that Spawn-X (I thank the way) said on the AF forum. And I was not disappointed. It is now quite old, it is by no means obsolete. Combinations of filters, effects and modulators can achieve results often quite new and very beautiful. Contrary to what I've read elsewhere, Nitro's not at all difficult to program. The interface is clear and I got out quickly, without even consulting the manual. Strictly speaking, for menus, we would have liked a slightly larger window, but this story is really nitpicking. In total it is really a creative tool that promotes inspiration, like for example a "Space Camel" Camel Audio. Experimenting a little, you still falls very quickly on interesting and mixable results. In fact, I use it very frequently on all kinds of sounds (synths, guitars, vocals) and saw it was priced around 10 euros, it gives a useful report / extra-ordinary prices. Thousand times I would do this choice!
