I hesitated between lontemps a Zoom H4 and the Edirol R 09. Finally for ease of use, recording rététition of my group, R 09 is the best.
The quality of the internal microphone is amazing (much better than the M Audio 24/96)! Disconcerting ease of use.
For those who seek non decision-tool head to focus first on what content to record, the R09 is ideal. He who seeks a mini 4 track has to pass his way, because the R09 is not multi track and has no external microphone input quality.
I have to R09 for a week and that is happiness.
