UTILIZATION

After digesting the user manual and tamed the beast, the use is actually quite simple and intuitive. By against the versatile and require additional features to dive back into the user manual as it is needed (or we remember that it exists).
But overall the use is well thought out given the size of the object. And via the USB connection, the PC is king.

A (large) black spot that requires reflection: the pedals. To exploit fully the POD must be added the optional foot switch, with two expression pedals in the ideal. Indeed, turn on / off effects at the base is already very useful. But modulate the effects with expression pedal is a great addition that expands the possibilities of play In addition, the POD offers several models of Wah which is difficult to imagine the use (except in a fixed position) without a pedal (which would pleasure?). There remains the POD X3 Live ... which shows much less mobile (bulky and heavy).

SOUND QUALITY

Question modeling and effects, there is something for all tastes. Difficult (or impossible) not to find the sound you are looking. on the other hand, we must seek and experience, sometimes a long time ...
Quality modeling and effects? The set is a quality bluffing. Of course it is unrealistic to perfectly emulate an all-tube stack with 4x12 cabinet, 50 kilos, with a plastic bean a few pounds. But given the proposed livestock (all legends!) The result is fantastic. If you are a purist and very fortunate, you will be disappointed. But who can compare with 106 amps and 98 pedals?
I miss him personally stomp (fairly used) not modeled: the Whammy Digitech. Apart from that curiosity, nothing is missing (including the effects we never use or anecdotally).
In short: that's good but you have to invest time!

OVERALL OPINION

What a fantastic little object. Use plugged into an amp, a preamp, headphone, console, ...
We can all play with and even make experiments difficult (or impossible) to achieve in real life (to connect 2 amps and play with different effects at the same time!)
As against this, find the defects of his qualities: it is very comprehensive and therefore can be quite tedious to adjust. Not always easy to navigate.

A big black spot in my opinion: the FBV + optional expression pedal (very expensive) that I find mandatory to enjoy the POD without losing his part nomad.
