Alto Professional introduces at NAMM the Black Series loudspeakers, a workhorse line of three active 2-way loudspeakers and two subwoofers.
The five Black models feature a DSP that provide control both directly of via the Alto Professional Live Drive wireless app for iOS devices. This DSP provides active control over the EQ response, test tones, dynamic levels, and protection. Wireless control via the wireless app allows each system to be optimized in place and on the fly.
The complete Black Series line includes the Black10 (10" woofer), Black12 (12" woofer), and Black15 (15" woofer) active loudspeakers; plus the Black15S (15" woofer) and Black18S (18" woofer) active subwoofers. Each features a 2400W peak (1200W RMS) class D amplifier, and a 1.75" tweeter with waveguide is installed in the three active speakers.
The built-in mixer provides two mic/line combo inputs, volume controls, contour switch for EQ control, a ground lift switch and a balanced XLR output.
The reinforced cabinets are constructed from 18mm plywood covered in scratch-resistant finish with steel grilles, recessed custom-molded handles, steel reinforced rubber feet located on two sides, allowing vertical or horizontal placement. A standard 35mm socket is provided for pole mounting, and M10 rigging points are included.
