« a good mic for the metal distortion »

OVERALL OPINION
I used that on large distortion.
Tested on a drum and voice, but was too deaf rendering is not really top.
I will not repeat what has been said below because j thinks the same thing.
I find it very good for micro Hi gain distortion but a complementary Sm57/421/re20/e609.
In any case I would say it is better micro and replaces the other.
IT is very soft and gum up the defaults in the distortion spectrum c is really very practical.
After, even when it lacks a bit of clarity with respect to a royer 121 and down even when the spectrum is unclear.
If you want a very good micro ribbon for the distortion: the royer 121 is really great, if you have no budget MXL 144 is very good is lets get a big sound distortion but in the room and the amp he used can be difficult and beautiful medium lacking.
Note that I've always used with preamp that margin gain. if the breath coming fast.
