Published on 12/28/01 at 15:00I acquired this unit because I felt like I wanted to update the sound of my drums and add some groove to it, since i was only using Jeskola's Buzz and some drum samples for my drumming. I got the drum machine at guitar center for about five-hundred dollars.
The Unit is great because there are tones of fresh samples and ten effects that sound great, as well as delays, and preset loops. It has room for more samples to be added and up to ninty seconds of recording time. Its coolest feature in my opinion, though, is that when another drum loop is put into the machine, the es-1 automatically cuts it up, so you can screw around with it more. You can also add swing to the beats as well, adding more of a human element to the drumming.
Its hard to add more than one effect to a track, and adding delay to one certain part of the drumming is dificult as well.
Its a durable little thing, compact and also eye catching.
A great piece for anybody who can't play drums and wants to have something that sounds professional and catchy as well. Very easy to work, and it looks nice too.

98.3 seconds sample is more than enough to cope. Contrary to what has been said in other posts, a smart media card can hold nine memory configure the bike, each time with 16 songs and 98.3 seconds per sample configure. Add to that samples parts for Trip to wav (up to 100 additional samples can be stored on the memory card and loaded the bike).
A configure (16 songs - 98.3 seconds of sample) to take max 4.5 Megs SM on the map. 9 configure ca therefore takes about 40 Megs 9 configure to complete - remains in place for 24 Megs of sample at 32kHz on a map 64 Megs. So that you can keep your SM still 12 minutes of additional samples at this frequency.
Used in "Cubase", 98.3 seconds is nothing I agree.See less10 - avatar au congoPublished on 11/05/02 at 04:57 (This content has been automatically translated from French)Cool effects, oriented electro zic, not my kif. But honntement they are cool.

for indeed, it has 11 effects Intgr. the prob is the effect s'applike ke tt sounds or has been in effect asking +. some galre kan is a disto vex put on a low and a flanger on a tablecloth, for example.
an option above, the motion sequence (time and effect), ki can record a change of time or effect tps rel.
the general motion sequence is different, it can change the pitch, pan, reverse, etc. .. on each step individually. This allows you to make ki Młoda or gallop. it can be disabled on a button and the sound becomes linear. there are two types of motion, with frequency "or pike rounded" Nikel to groundwater or kick.
This ki Mank, it is the output spar ki will put an effect on the Chake, but hey!
ke the simple bcp + rm1 or 505, a toy koi!
UTILIZATION
Operation is super simple and intuitive. in fact for me is more a toy k'autre thing.
we really can do what you want and as you want thanks to the step sequencer.
the sequencer is adjustable "or 16pas/32/48/64pas 32/64/96/128 (in fact his show 2 * + faster, a little weirdo) or by the same 12 steps.
to fit the sounds, a pc is mandatory and a sound processing software (SoundForge, WaveLab, etc.) for the frequency change of the sample (standart 44khz, 32 khz on the es1). K'1 and smart media (just a little) and a smart media player (with usb 300/400frs)
the manual is simple but enough to galre tt understand surtt the motion sequence
SOUNDS
For sound, it means +. jm'explike, sounds lost in DynaMike bcp because of a change in frequency, but by choosing out these samples is + a problem too.
for effect, not bad, it adds a good toy tt + a ca. EFET is the control by 3 knobs, one to select the effect, one to set the power of the effect and another one to play with.
Filter kan has it, is the most bogus, impossible to play with a cut off.
I find the sound kan even a little flat, but for my part I have an equa parametrike ki allows me to play well in the + sound and the sound of AC prevents stagnant at times, but it gives a surtt could ... Dynamik.

I bought it for 330 Euros in thomman, for sequences of small electro in my bed and me to make accompaniment séuences when I play the guitar, plugged into the AUX input of my Microcube. is the ultimate minimalist Mahine, but it is finally complete enough to assure itself of electro components, provided that the head is growing and that publishes its samples on computer!!
I feel sorry for against people who do live with because it is probably not very strong! But since I perform almost my room, and mostly in bed with (!!!), I decided to jump on OCCAZ to buy the old model, before the release of the ES1 MkII, which is identical, with new samples in RAM and a metal bodywork.
I would do this choice because the value price is really excellent!See less00 - Jonas SkygatePublished on 05/18/04 at 13:54 (This content has been automatically translated from French)All t say ...[/ u]

Next bank of sounds, well it was your turn, it's a sampler !!!!!!
The term is limited because, in fact, banks and other effect automations are unique pattern which limits good anyway. Impossible in an even pattern to a large fazer a bass loop by compressing a kick too deaf. ONE ONE purpose and automation with a single accent pattern by ... drive.
The effects are of variable quality. Good nice for fazer, while the reverb sucks ...
