a very good effect section, especially for the time (I love Roland delays and this one is no exception)

- This is a great drum machine with very good pad, wide and not too hard,
- Coupled with a sequencer madness (linear pattern and step)
- A very good sampler (! So if I sampled a 909 lent and the result is stunning)
- A multi 8 tracks
- And in addition it is possible to have a VA instrument via the MFX ...

in short it is very heavy.

it is impressive in terms of quality of manufacture, transport keys are really pro, everything is solid. very reassuring for the studio and especially for concerts.

a CD player compatible with AKAI CD and audio, you will render service to import sound bank by thousands, the great for storing all your projects hard drive, your audio tracks, your midi. Obviously, the CD serves as writer and as the MV is mastering. the completion of a project can be engraved directly from the MV ... and the result is ... bluffing.

side memory, 512MB is pretty good sampler many do not offer as is Hardly a good point.

UTILIZATION

BUT Me, I've added some personal samples and no surprise it works fabulous. The real question had filters ... you are worth it, because for a sampler, it is often the sinews of war. Well, I took me a real slap! the ROLAND MV8000 has filters that are hellish, making me think of those of S760 (for those who know the reference!)

So it sounds and filter ca ... for once, this is a very big and very pleasant surprise ... and then to make matters worse, mastering can still improve it all for her so there is no problem on that.

effects, I personally am not a big fan overall effect so I use a lexicon for my external reverb and delay roland. To be quite frank, I tested the Roland Dlay the MV and is very correct, usable in the studio ...

I put some personal Semples of Ensoniq and EMU ... I think the sound is pretty close to my ultra E5000, but there is a little je ne sais quoi that makes the samples sound better on my Ensoniq Ensoniq ... it says this is very subjective and the DP2 effect are certainly a lot ...

then we can sampler - resample, select the resolution in bits ... the sampler works very well and slice / chop is very well done (fast and efficient). everything works, this is consistent with the manufacturer promises

just to clarify, I used a 808 I 4 Akai samplers and E-MU different generation R8M with an electronic card, which is very good with respect to what I have heard elsewhere, a range expanders. I have very good personal samples BAR roland and frankly to stop his level, my MV as she rips her big sisters TR. According to the feeling and the creation is clearly different.

trick for the price of a TR 808 occasse: MV8000 or offer you a 8800 secondhand and buy you a cirklon of Sequentix ... and I can assure you that for the same price as a used TR 808, you will have a strong musical feeling and faculty multiplied. OVERALL OPINION

over 2 years, this MV is me DrumMachine and good linear sequencer. I have a studio pretty well stocked, but no computer (voluntary choice since 1999)

to summarize, this is a good sampler, sequencer good, very good control surface, very good pad, a good connectivity for its age (with usb control pushed).

we can use it just as BAR via an external sequencer and it will fill this function very well, or else go much further if you wish. When I look at the rating of a TR 707, a 909 or a 808 current delirium (including the samples are in the Roland MV) I think that he used no picture. MV8000 is certainly a good choice, at least if you have a little room to put on his desk!
