The Mobius is a monophonic squenceur. 1 single mono track, all that may be easier in terms of squenceur. It is exactly the same one found on the 777. It is ideal for a monophonic synth squencer.
-256 Patterns 16 steps chacuns.
-scale 4/4 and 3/4.
-loop Point glide (adjustable in speed but not recognized MIDI) and focus rested for each step.
SONG -mode with loop point and transposes.
MIDI connectivity is complemented (IN, OUT, THRU), the main intert of Mobius in this area is the presence of an analog connection also complte:
-CV And GATE OUT (configurable to fit a max of analog machines)
-Accent OUT, OUT Trigger, Clock and Clock Reset OUT OUT.
-DIN OUT Sync to sync without MIDI.
L o Mobius is thought ingnieusement is when one discovers that it can make the interface between the two worlds, MIDI to analog. Have this feature built-in squenceur is frankly nice, squenceur same as it often the border between these two worlds.
The Mobius is not a caractritiques monster, but those attributed to him by its designers are sufficient and very well think for a device of this type direction control a monophonic synth.
The config Gnrale is extremely simple, it is a strong point for those who like to program phrass with spontaneity. So of course, we do not cr forcment the pattern of the century with the Mobius, but what one creates is very efficient. Once the Mobius unpacked and connected in your studio, I put the challenge of not having created a nice pattern after 3 minutes and 47 seconds ...!
No menus or submenus, let alone sub-menu ... Accs virtually live all functions. If an idea comes to your mind in 2 seconds, it does not take much for cel is found in the programm Mobius.
Basically, you choose one of the 256 patterns and then chooses (with the + and -) which note will be played on each of the 16 steps. Every cel is done in real time while the pattern in a loop. It could not be simpler.
We can agrmenter some notes Accent and / or Glide, increase the length, we can also choose a loop point among the 16 pattern, play the pattern in ternary or quaternary. No SAVE, LOAD no, no turning rear in case of error, everything is done in real time and in the moment.
Once all the horny patterns in the box, play one after the other is also a simple and effective enjoyment. Patterns are rows by 16, 16 banks.
We can slecter one of 16 patterns of a same bank directly through each of the 16 buttons. We can do the same by grouping single file patterns cock, all cel and live very simply. But one can also not not the chaining (measure measure) in the SONG mode posment to build a song, but personally, I find it quite tedious mode. This is convenient for the edition, but not too much to build. I really would have liked to memorize a song by building in real time.
This type of use is quite common sequencers of the genre, like the popular sequencers boxes pace TR, The Mobius is therefore absolutely droutant this level, and this is the pledge good ergonomics.
No sonority itself, but the Mobius is a sequencer with a very good feeling. The phrassgnrs by this bcane are very punchy.
I use it for over a year. He cost 420 new, which is not given in absolute for squenceur 1 monophonic track. But its ergonomics and connectivity on me all the same decided the plunge and get me.
What I like the most about this squenceur is its simplicity and ergonomics that does not hinder the spontaneity of creation.
Manufacturing is well made, the buttons are less agrables to touch than the 777. The micro switches of Mobius are quite rigid, and the buttons are not very well when guids pressed (while everything was perfect on the cel 777). Espront they will be strong.
I have no regrets and I would do this election if necessary.
Functions are easily accessible, everything is in front, the sequences are recorded auromatiquement. It is possible to link several sequences to make "songs". I do not use that afternoon.'s Manual in English is clear and sufficient.
I bought this to Mobius usa, it worked erratically, I replaced the internal battery cr 2325 and everything is back in order.
Produces no sound.
I use it for testing sequence. I like its simplicity, being able to see the notes in the display live, eg A, A ', B etc ...
The sequencer can be considered a collector, this is probably why it is expensive.
