Blue Microphones will unveil at NAMM 2015 a new small diaphragm condenser microphone for instruments, the Hummingbird.
The Blue Hummingbird mic employs a discrete Class A circuit and a custom cardioid capsule based on the B1. Its fast transient response, its wide frequency range and its ability to handle high sound pressure levels allows for use both in studio and on stage to capture acoustic guitars, strings, and even drums in overhead configuration.
The Hummingbird features a 180° rotating head, an idea that has already been used on the Dragonfly and Mouse models.
The mic will ship this Spring for the US price of $299. a clamp, a windshield and a rigid case will be included.
