I bought the kit, two microphones MC012-01 censs be paired, directivity cardio. Electro-static transistor. The cap screws onto the body of the microphone, and you can screw a pad of-10dB between the two as needed.
The fasteners are "vintage", and also in the box.
OVERALL OPINION
I made this purchase blindly, on Ebay, new, intrigued by the look, the CHARACTERISTICS of these pickups, especially the price!
The box looks like a cigar box is simple but not bad and well plutt Submitted as a whole. Everything is very well rested were the bodies of microphones, capsules and pad installed properly, and fasteners. When you open it, it inspires confidence, and it need not the crash. They are cheap mics, and it sounds "cheap".
Before his talk, I'd be curious to connatre the life of the microphones with heavy use, especially at the thread ...
I made several tests: I connected a microphone on a console AMEK with pramps Neve, et al the microphone before a JCM900. A cot and a C414 SM57, even pramp. Rsultat: SM57 aggressive as usual, but that works well with the C414 in complment, and the MC012 ... The random image is sharp, as incredible as it may seem, they voluent as they see fit, and I found myself with a phase plutt questionable, I ended up transferring him and keep the other two.
2nd test: On an acoustic guitar with a pramp Summit TPA200 and a DRAWMER MX 60:
At the Summit, even catastrophic rsultat: Nothing prcis, the directivity is questionable, no heat, sound trs saturates quickly ... If you're having fun walking sound around the microphone, there are surprises pluttdsagrables, distortions! The Drawmer is little better ...
I made a comparison with a small NT1A Rode. The Rode is much prcis and clear, despite its plutt CHARACTERISTICS averages.
In conclusion: These are bad microphones on acoustic guitar and an amp before. I have yet to test the pair on overheads and on Perusse, but I'm skeptical.
I think their use would plutt live, for small structures that can not afford better microphones, or the layout, the house. Be careful, there are offers much more interesting for the same price in other brands. I keep them, they can save me a power, but I do not get out of my own gr ...
