Preamp EQ rack
USE
I have two that I use to be paired in stereo, or individually.
I often recorded in multitrack, and I in addition to 2 vintage NEVE 1073, more colorful and whose EQ are more delicate to handle hair ...
The 9098 is what I use when I do not know what to use.
SOUND QUALITY
Very easy to use, very versatile NEVE subtle coloring ...
I had recently taken for percs overheads with AKG 414, and a nylon guitar that I had my stereo brauner VM1 (micro overpriced, but ... Magic!).
Ultra satisfactory result, beautiful rendering, it works of course with my lamp mics, but the 414 can be very cold and surgical with NEVE, sounded pleasantly accurate with the 9098.
NOTICE GLOBAL
I use them for 3 years.
If you like NEVE, I would recommend as first preamp eq to possess because of their versatility (both with microphones lamp with good transistors), knowing that they keep an important place in my studio while I ' have also a lot of other things in the genre (NEVE, Vintage design ...)
