Cool Edit Pro 2.1

Topic Cool Edit Pro 2.1
Trying to record again after a LONG time away and forgot a lot about the program. However, I get no record levels when trying to record from line-in. Using Sound Blaster, I can hear it on my speakers but Cool Edit can't see/hear it to record it. Is there a place for "source" to record from? What am I missing here?
