1 an overloading sound to audio, but nothing was ever overloaded!
So i have this serious problem i've been trying to conquer for too long now. i need some help to find where the problem lies.

equipment: APEX condenser microphone, Tascam US-122 interface by which vocals and keyboard are going into cubase.

i have made absolutely sure the interface is not overloading, and same with the levels in the program. DEFINITLY, nothing is being overloaded.

this is where it gets confusing. when on my computer, everything sounds fine. you never hear any overloading like noise or anything, and its all very clean. BUT, when i burn these recordings on a CD, there is an overloading clipping effect when the intensity of the music is increased.

how does this make ANY sense??? i've tried diff. mic techniques, and have found it has nothing to do with the problem. maybe the tascam is a crappy interface? but wouldnt you hear the noise even during playback if it were overloaded in the first place?
and does that mean there is something wrong with the CD burning process?

help is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks a lot

First question: What software are you using to burn your mix to cd?
Second question: What resolution are you using to burn your disc?
