I have a several sound modules (including kurzweil k2000, yamaha tg-33, roland mks7, korg wavestation etc) and I have a Korg Trinity as master keyboard + lexicon effects processor. I a keyboard and guitar player (I have a couple of custom made electrics)

Now I am looking various ways to setup my home studio. Please I need inputs from you all. I can go for all pro tools (not sure if I can have that many inputs) or I can go a for Mackie mixer. I haven't yet decided on the computer, I am a bit reluctant to record all the tracks on pc and mix it using software. I am looking at newer ibook by apple.

Please advise me with ideas.

Many thanks

There are lots of different ways to approach this depending on what your goals are and how you want to work.

There is a sticky post in the Newbies forum that outlines some basic questions that need to be considered. Take a look at it, and think about what you want to do and how.

FWIW, I use a mixer AND the computer, and it makes for a very efficient setup. I LIKE knobs and faders...... 8)
