Made in Indonesia, the Cort G-290 is a great guitar stratocaster type whose characteristics are enough to make many green with envy more expensive brand:

UTILIZATION

The ergonomic handle is one of the highlights of this guitar. used to handle relatively thin "Ibanez" type, I was surprised by the comfort and taking instant hand. access to acute is a breeze. rather light, perfect for long hours of repeats or frenzied lives. Your back will thank you.

In terms of the EMG sound kit (similar configuration steve lukather) works wonders and even if some critics blame their lack of heat, Cort demonstrates a versatility foolproof. Jazz big hard rock / metal, no style resist.

SOUNDS

Shred through the blues, funk and rock stoner, I plugged into an orange micro terror head and the sound is fabulous. this guitar fills me in every way.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had almost two years and I never tire. Initially, I had thrown my vested on custom G (latest catalog and identical in all respects except that the finish is sunburst-type). Stumbled upon it on the net, the G-290 has been removed from the catalog to make room for the custom. When I inquired with an authorized dealer, he remained two and it was available at a price of 530 euro (half the price of the custom).
Ultimately, if you are looking for a versatile instrument that comes out of beaten paths, the Cort G-290 is to be considered. If you find one used, you throw it!

It has a guitar made in Korea, with an easel CFA3, Sperzel locking mechanics (super convenient and very good performance agreement). An ash body with a maple top dappled.

UTILIZATION

Lgre, beautiful, very easy run, good ergonomics. But the abalone inserts are too dark and not very visible. Other default, up to 9-46, the dbattement rglage of the harmonic limit of low E. Super sonic versatility. I do quite a bit, and sounds are beautiful and especially prcis has does not bleed, even pushing the saturations. I play, depending on the neighborhood of tolrance Roland Micro Cube Marshall 30W and Korg Pandora PX5D.

OVERALL OPINION

So I for two months, various other APRS trials with a Cort X6 (dj a lot). Tiny regret, I prfr a Floyd, but Wilkinson is even easier when rgler and enough for me. The pickups are good trs.
I love his lgret (from my old X6). Flawless finish, except my little trouble with abalone inserts. Report qualitprix unbeatable, especially in time.

UTILIZATION

I use this guitar with a fender and a marshall 1000 perfommer avt 100 coupling a boss ME8.
I note the pedal but it must be said that the saturation of the marshall is sufficient to have a well heavy metal fawn spot, especially in view of the EMG (them again).

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for about 2 weeks in parallel with an Ibanez Talman and I can tell you that we note a significant difference between the noise and ergonomics.
Most will be as I said above a light guitar, easy, comfortable and have a very good range of sounds.
The - will be the fact that a versatile guitar as it was never completely comfortable in a style more than another (although the rock / metal more than the playground).

The beast comes from mad'in korea, it is fairly well equipped with micro EMG (cell) with two singles (EMG SA) and double (EMG 89), with a volume knob, one tone and a boost. The selector is 5 positions. The mechanical oil bath system with lock, 22 frets that are finer than the jumbos, I do not know what it is. The vibrato is like Wilkinson.

UTILIZATION

What is its use, I find it really nice.
The handle is smooth, whether it's with or without the sweaty palms, it does not pose a problem. Personally, I did once experience on hard ground, where it hangs awful, I'm not totally a fan ... And here, I 'did not have a problem.
Access to treble is not too too bad, but went for the last two frets, I hassle a bit, but it's not too much in my style of games gone this far, I think we have s 'to make his next game.

So here it is here that plays all. This guitar is incredibly versatile.
I started playing on it by a lot of rock style of AC / DC, Guns'n'Roses ... (I'd buy for it, having watched that sounds vaguely clear.) Then, I recently turned to the blues and even jazz. I am completely amazed to see this guitar meet all my desires, all while passing the microphone double boost for its typically a hard / heavy as the two used to have a simple clean sound. (Remember I use a Vox AC30 for both styles with a signature Satriani pedal to bring distortion to the amp. The rendering is the same on the other, tested on Marshall, Fender and Line 6)
This gives a response as strong on one side than the other. The micro switch has six positions, the color palette is so well represented!
Do not necessarily think that EMG = Metallica. These EMG is really surprising and pleasing to my taste.

OVERALL OPINION

I tried different guitars, but not the masses. Two Fender, a Lag Roxane, a Jackson Flying V, a Yamaha RX-2.
I immediately cracked the Rock's really true for my taste, and over time I noticed that this guitar is extremely versatile. Compared to the clean sound of a strat banal, I can tell you that the sound of the Cort is great.

Good ergonomics is a table in SLAR lev therefore more enjoyable in the game
This gives very good sound facillement with this guitar, I like the 4-position totally clear in his postion 2 for the crunch with double split pickups and finally the position for a non-split lead. I do not use microphones for ever against simle position 3 alone because I do not like n! I have used with other microphones to have a great sound.

OVERALL OPINION

I use this guitar for 5 months, I changed once the 9V battery for the active pickups.
Purchase price: 650 euros and frankly is not theft!
As the second electric guitar I possdent that a simple microphone in the neck position, I think now while keeping the guitar I buy another one with double pickups in the neck position.

UTILIZATION

Disont that versatility is very intrssante on this guitar is easily done everything and it sounds quite a bit throughout, clear sound funky blues or jazz or more (not bad in this register), the SA are very "clean "(like 89 for that matter) has to say it did" not personalitquot; ... I agree that the sound of these pickups is very "neutral" but what versatility c it is!
I had a couple Spider 2212 is also is very good value for Q / P!
For mtal c very well, made the gaffe output level microphones (the surtt 89) especially for the soloist, even if the rhythmic is no exception. I listen to my spawning ptetre mix one day ...

As of references guitar for me it is really good.
I listened to many other models in this price range and nothing more malla it (then it is really beautiful, same as that of the photo)
I can now more easily "listen" on the other guitar plus "typquot;.
I put 9 / 10 report for the quality better than the market price I think.

UTILIZATION

The handle is nice, especially the rear of the handle style walnut, really pretty.
If not in use, it is very pleasing to the arrrire round and flat front, very convenient for chord positions. CASC might set treble to be better (well I admit I availing oneself of a Ibanez RG nothing to see) the body bothers me somewhat on the two LATEST frtes (I have some big paws !)
The guitar is pretty lgre and yet it is of mahogany! Remains whether it is a massive body, but I doubt it.
The point is the vibrato negatives, do not be too outspoken for not dsacorder guitar and render it unplayable

It is very versatile and guiare is little to say, it must be said that the EMG do wonders. Two singles and a double EMG SA EMG 89 (the one splitable). Frankly it is enough to make the SA sound really good I like playing on a fender, I admit it is good to play a little on the modulation of the amp but it's really convincing. And what about the 89, h bin is a micro active splitable vintage that goes from blues / jazz (Splitter mtal "modern" (Humbrucker) must be on the amp that goes with it. I personally owns a G. Marshall, two Vox AD and DA, and the record is fabulous.
We will therefore saturated crunch sound and clear in seconds! Just try it to believe it.
In my opinion, this is the best quality sound I heard about this price range! (650 700)
