ESP KH 2
Published on 09/01/02 at 15:00it cost me £1699 from Spectre Sound! which is about $2650! i got it cos i love kirk hammett he is my idol.
kirk hammett is amazing, he is god no really he is. This is the best guitar ever. Super fast neck, super slidy also. the trem is amazing tooo, stays in tune for ever even with some steve vai whammy work thrown in. EMG 81's are the best pick ups in the world. Metallica use them so through my Mesa Boogie Dual Rec i sound like hammett and hetfield its soooooooooo cool. the paint work is excellent great quality and the inlays are well cool.
umm the price was steep but its so worth it.

the hardware is amazing. the finish is amazing! the body and neck mateiral is the best. its a beast! one thing i dont understand. it only has a bolt on neck where as the lower spec and price (£839) KH 502 has a neck thru body! thats strange. His KH2 relic the exact replica guitar has a neck thru also. it dont make sense.
The best guitar around. if u have alot of money to spend on a axe get this one. forget every other guitar get this one. perfect for metal, but can handle everything from blues to jazz to punk to acousticy chordal phrases. u name it this guitar sounds great playing it. Well Done ESP and Mr. Hammett u guys ROCK

ESP KH-2
Published on 08/16/01 at 15:00Custom ordered from Jason at ESP-Hollywood. They matched the price at musician's friend, so after tax it came to about $1,900.
For one, it has pretty much the fastest neck I have ever played. 24 extra jumbo frets, two EMG 81 pickups - the highest output pickups they make. The body cut very nicely. I can easily hit E3 (6th string, 24th fret). Superb paintjob - I could shave with this instead of a mirror. Double locking original Floyd Rose (I can bottom/top out the strings all day and it stays tuned). Sweet abalone skull/crossbones inlays... Amazing to play
As everyone knows, double locking systems are a pain in the ass to string/tune, but this is not a fault of ESP. The guitar is perfect.

Exquisite. There are absolutely no flaws. ESP is a japanese company, but the custom/dlx/signature models are made in Hollywood, CA, and are perfect.
Customer service kicks ass - most people say otherwise (although, this was a pretty expensive guitar, so maybe that has something to do with it...). The forgot to ship my trem bar with the axe, and I called them up and they fed-ex'd it right away.
Best guitar I have ever owned.
