The Fender Custom Shop introduced yesterday at NAMM 2014 a new Proto Stratocaster.
Besides the 2014 Precision Bass from the Proto Series we told you about a couple of days ago, Fender has launched a new Stratocaster guitar from the same series. Its specs are:
- Ash body with cutaway heel
- Early '60s Oval C-shaped birdseye maple neck
- 25.5" (648 mm) scale length
- Round-laminated rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5" radius, 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid dot inlays
- Nut Width: 1.6875" (42.86 mm)
- Super 55 Split-Coil Strat (bridge) and Texas Special Single-Coil Strat (middle and neck) pickups
- Master Volume and Master Tone controls, plus 5-way toggle switch
- 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo bridge with block saddles
- Hardware in nickel/chrome finish
- Sperzel locking tuning machines
- 3-ply parchment pickguard
- Available in in Arctic White, Black and Faded Three-color Sunburst finishes
- Includes case, cable, strap, CruzTools Tool Kit and Certificate of Authenticity
