A super strat luxury!

UTILIZATION
The neck is super nice, the interface is well designed, like any strat since the 50s. The sound just comes if you know like a guitar should sound. Only deserves a good vibrato setting on pain of being wrong.

SOUNDS
This is a great guitar for the stage as for the studio. I played in a lot of amps, small silvertone with huge marshall, and found its identity, at the same time adapting to a gear that provides. Queen of crystalline clean tones, but not as snapping a Jazzmaster or a TV, very aggressive but sensible. It responds very well to spin. Even a beautiful chorus embellishes, while the fuzz will hoarse scream.
In short, a strat sounds better than many U.S. I had the honor to test. Perfect in its kind.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for 7 years, and it never did me a trafalgar, despite touring. It is reliable, which is a quality for a guitar. Its value for money is excellent, since it is always at my side, and surpasses many U.S. two or three times more expensive. And yet it is compared with vintage gibson, a great Jazzmaster (ment more expensive) and more!
I bought when you want! Moreover, its collector side is a strat that does not go unnoticed (known anyway shape guitar the most produced in the world!)See less23 - Charvin74

UTILIZATION
The grip of the guitar is very well balanced. Its weight is heavier than some stratocaster chouilla but we can not speak of a heavy guitar. The important thing is that it is well balanced.
Maple neck with a varnish that does not stick. No surprise at the game
Usability: bah is a stratocaster, ie ergonomics incarnate!
Easy access to acute as on all stratosphere.
The sound is very easy to configure.
SOUNDS
Tested with a guitar tube amp Bugera V22 to its mostly blues.
No surprise at the sound: it is a typical stratosphere with crystal clear sound. In contrast, no significant particularity. But at least you're sure to have the sound that is associated with this type of guitar.
In terms of quality if I compare with the same amp with strats inferior (Squier CV or VM particular or lesser extent Mexican standards):
-The mic positions are more individualized level sound reproduction,
It is the most accurate,
It better supports pickup saturation and does not sound tinny.
It is clear that this guitar is not made for large saturations but the definition of sound in rock and hard rock is good. Above all, she excelled in the blues.
Note that unlike the classic vibe, and unless your bridge / tremolo is set incorrectly, the "not excessive" use of vibrato does not tune the strings. I mean by "not excessive" non-vibrato triturated which as its name implies, allows the sound to vibrate.
These microphones are one level higher than the Duncan designed the Squier VM eg output and better meet marked sound effects such as wah, wah, chorus etc ... There is always the possibility of having a good sound with these effects as long as you have an amp that makes sense.
OVERALL OPINION
This Mexican guitar, located mid-range Fender is of sufficient quality for an experienced professional or amateur use.
Its main feature is its elegance and its "classic" is a Stratocaster "vintage" of a "standard" configuration, that is very respectful of the stratosphere as originally designed by Fender.
You therefore will find no lack of taste, this is the safe bet.
In contrast, it has a lack of specificity ... in other words those who expect to be surprised by his "coming out of the box" can go their way. If you choose this strat is that you prefer tradition.See less41 - jimiluPublished on 04/17/06 at 10:46 (This content has been automatically translated from French)SERIES specially launched for 60me fter the anniversary of the legendary brand of fire Lo FENDER. I'd put it roughly on par with the American series today, although the American ones tend to be a bit more consistent. The ends were nice and beveled, so I didn't have any issues with cutting my hand up while moving up and down the fretboard. The neck joint had a slight gap in it, but I've seen worse. The nut was cut correctly, so no issues there.
SOUNDS
The guitar had tex-mex pickups in these, and I'm not the biggest fan. To be fair, they're decent pickups for a guitar that costs around this much, but I was hoping to get some better ones for their 60th anniversary strat. The bridge is a bit noisy and bright. It can do gain levels up to rock, but after that, it starts to really lose clarity and bottom end. The in between positions are great for clean and funk lines. The neck pickup is pretty cool for clean tones, although I find myself struggling on it when it comes to playing leads.
OVERALL OPINION
The guitar is pretty decent, but it's really not that different from any other strat out there. You can save money by buying a cheaper standard on eBay or craigslist. That's the way I would go. If you do buy one of these, spend some extra money upgrading the pickups. You'll get much more out of the guitar this way.See less01 - Hatsubai

SOUNDS
These guitars sound amazing in any format you put them in. They are an essential element of music and will be until judgment day. When it comes to the sound of a Strat there really is no other. I hear guys talk about finding a Strat sounding guitar and look to Suhr and Anderson and completely bypass the sound that started it all. The sound is everyone from Jimmy to John Mayor and in between.
This guitar has a feel to it that the others really don't
I play rock music and this guitar is great for my style. The only problem about this guitar is that it is made in Mexico. So any one worth their salt will not that the production is not as good as the American made. The feel of it just doesn't have the same soul. Even though the ones in America are made by Mexicans in Corona the standards of the build process south of the border are not up to our standards.
OVERALL OPINION
These guitars you can still pick up new even though they have discontinued them. It hasn't been that long since they have been marketing them so many guitar shop still carry them. They run about $799 which is a good price for a Fender STrat but you will still have to replace the pickups and then you are looking at more money. So I would buy a used American made one for less than asking price new for this guitars. Then replace the pickups and I'd be set.See less02 - Scribbler12000Published on 03/24/08 at 11:57 (This content has been automatically translated from French)Made in Mexico, "collector" to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the brand

UTILIZATION
I own several Fender Stratocaster so I'll compare against a standard Mexican and I like that I play on stage.
The handle grip because of the varnish. Bizarre because I also has the Classic 50's is even more polished but it does not catch. Here is a compromise between missing vintage lacquer and varnish really very light modern standards. Difficult to insert a finger on it, even after several minutes of play was under the impression that it sticks.
Access to acute is like on the other strata, easy, for against due to finish on a sloppy fret and the varnish on the handle scrapes his fingers on the last notes. Too bad.
Ergonomics: it is unpleasantly heavier than conventional strat
This gives her a necessity, then comes ...
SOUNDS
Question's: I bought because I wanted to qqn another sound and my luthier told me that the Tex Mex pickups were well balanced. There with the collector was a matter on which I skipped. I just turn the knobs in all directions, the sound has no personality, no more fishing than on a standard, no edge, it seems very monotonous ... I prefer my strato standard for micro céramic whistling a little but at least there is the sound of the strato!
I play on a Matrix 100W H & K, a good amp but the pb comes from the guitar.
OVERALL OPINION
I kept several months. I put on the willingness to get used to but I gave up every time, too bad. I thought I found what I was missing but this is the round plate "collector" that I missed.
I have many other models and I much prefer the classic 50's Strato standard and Splatter.
Value / price: € 450 bought used but in excellent condition so no complaints. say that to happen to make very bad choices.
I will not go this election and yet God knows I love the Stratos ... In fact I managed to sell at the price I had purchased. Good riddance!See less16 - Aajefff
