this is actually a simple historical specificity of windings and it has a genuine interest. let me explain:
- When you play on a low power amp modeling type 15-30 W, we can see a lack of potatoes.
-But a "real" amp, makes it a "historic" all-tube amp guy, everything becomes different. low output power of a guitar is real asset because you are forced to turn up the gain (or master volume, depending) of your amp and there you have a lot more headroom (perception of sound filling) and dynamic , where a finer type of your "touch" guitar and the reaction carried out attacks, feeling of games to dgts ...
plus a vintage strat is or period (eg 56'S to € 65,000), minus the output level is high .... except for some microphones that were "on" by their owners voluntarily wound ... I the chance to play on a Rory Gallagher Signature custom shop and the output level is much lower than the U.S. standard "classic" ... the sensation is only better!!
- "Her" too acute, or perceived as being "too" sharp, hence described as not hot:
this is due to non-use of tone knobs by means guitarist .. actually a strat must casiment on all styles, be a little "off" in the treble. why put the tone knobs on 5-6 instead of the very common "very bottom": this is not going at all to it. Lots of great musicians use this technique.
- Lack of keeping the tuning:
then I think about it is the funniest finally notices on any guitar. it did, except for toys 50 €, have nothing with mechanical ...
it depends on the implementation of strings and Nut often hangs .. a good idea to put pen to paper (no I'm not kidding! lol) in the nut slots.
for info in utilization "pro" strats (of Squiers (very honest way) to master builds) are often décritent like guitars with the ideal and very stable tuning fork tuning stability.
my american standard 2000, I change her rope Granted, streche a bit string (pull strongly away from the top button) 4-5 times I retune, then it does not move for several weeks! !! 3 once I add a little pencil in the nut slots and go again!
to qualify as a little we can even say that the old vintage style vibrato are not the best in the light of agreement: the obligation to re-polish each bridge and carefully dig out the slots in the nut (more graphite - highly effective gel) under penalty désacordage two or three uses winded ... ultimately it is best to block against the table (either by tightening the two screws on the back or by adding springs) and it only works in one direction (it is no longer floating).
I hope I will not go to yet another preachy web ....
this instrument is absolutely great compared to the design feature and totally worth the approximately 1200 € requested. we must learn about these features and adapt accordingly (like everything ..)
OVERALL OPINION
after careful anyway at some versatility of models over the years.
a good strat is light or very light. more wood is heavy it will sound less. this should be your first criteria for in-store purchase.

Five is to the latter that is always gone my preference and it is logical that when I wanted to return to my first love, the Gibson Les Paul, I am separated from all my Strat except that above.
We all know that the beautiful American (from at Gibson and Fender) are not formatted by a fully automatic and digital manufacturing. As a result, for the same model and the same reference, there will often render the difference sound of a guitar in the other. So, my 2 LP Traditional sound different from each other. And same goes for the Stratocaster. I had tested a lot before making my choice on this beautiful 3 tone sunburst that really made the difference. And it was so much that was immediately became my favorite on the other four I had. I have not played the new American Standard so I will not speak. But the ones I had, though each had its own strengths, not simply made the match for the newcomer. Truly a miracle!
It sounds so beautifully! By itself, it focuses all the qualities you can expect more Strat: a strong character microphones, superlative gameplay, as always-finish Fender-without any fault and versatility. I can not say if it is enhanced over time as I toyed, there is still little so so regular that it is difficult to judge a possible sound change. What I can say in any case is that I have never owned a Stratocaster and as good as the one I will treasure.
OVERALL OPINION
This guitar-Strat-usually part of the legend of Rock. It was and is played by the greatest that have marked the history of our favorite music. It is no coincidence when it occurs, it is perfect and has been shown over the decades that very few changes. There were mythical years, during which Fender produced copies that are now worth a fortune. Maybe the beginning of 2006, when the Strat was made, is one of those magical moments that produce exceptional instruments.
The American Series is just exceptional.See less10MGR/Noticeably F.A.T

I love this guitar! It's amazing! It is so clear and the tone is right on! The neck is so fast and the finish is awesome! (Chrome Red)The pickups handle every note and the rods in the pickups are placed perfectly.
It doesnt come in lots of colors but oh well, who really cares.
Solid. Although the body is made of Alder wood, it is light and easy to play. Tuning keys hold stay in tune through some tough bends.
Sick guitar.... buy it now

Where can I say. She's a beauty. The wood (alder) is unbelieveably beautiful, the sunburst color is breathtaking,..everything about it is beautiful. Other than the looks, it plays like a dream. The rolled fretboards are so easy to play on, the 3-singlecoil pickups have a supurb sound that gives me the treble i need to play my heart out.The 5way switch gives me the flexablity to play any kind of music. This is something you must get an american edition to have. The tremlo is great, the keys never go out of tune, what can i say. Everything about it is great.
Ya, right.
Other than amazing, fenominal! It is the toughest and most hardcore guitar available. Let me say right now, i am a cluts, and always accidentaly hit my fender on random crap, but do you see any battle scars, wounds, chips, none at all!
The quality of the wood and painjob is amazing. There is nothing better than this.
AMAZING,PHENOMINAL,BEAUTIFUL,OUTSTANDING, BREATHTAKING. I LOVE MY FENDER!!!

Balance, weight, feel are to perfection---it is a comfortable balance that will let you march all night and fight all day without the lower back grip that a heavier and less balanced axe will guarantee you. Completely standard, the model from which all other Stratocaster configurations are based on. Pure, quacky Strat tone that turns to a growl even with a little dirt in your signal chain.
There is nothing about this guitar that I don't like.
As mentioned above, construction, components, care and attention to detail are inargueable; a class act start to finish.
A little bit of Strat history: as Stratocaster sales began to slip once Buddy Holly was gone, Fender seriously considered cutting the Strat from its line-up altogether. It seems that, at the last possible moment, everybody got their jaws dropped by some new guy named Hendrix and the Strat was safe. Clapton "built" his "Blackie" Strat from the components of 3 Strats to make one good one (and by the way, "Blackie" was originally a three-tone sunburist [see Derek and the Dominoes cover]) that was later re-sprayed black. Clapton was hooked and the Strat has been his main axe ever since.
In the late 1960's Fender went "underground" when it began to advertise the Strat in a (then) little known, quad-fold newsprint we all call Rolling Stone magazine today. It (at least once) bought the center-spread advertising space that showed a white Strat with the hook "How to Purchase a Guitar". Want to slightly increase your Strat's "quacky" voice? Simply lower the middle pick-up just a hair and voila!, there it is!

Great Fender tone and "playability" - new rolled neck feels great. This guitar has great intonation and is easy to tune.
A little heavy, but solid wood provides great tone and sustain.
Very well made, quality materials.
This guitar will give you all of the classic Fender tone you want and plays like a dream.

The woods also really set the models apart. The finish on the USA Strat was so superior it wasn't even funny. A side note. I looked briefly at the Gibson Faded Les Paul. I really didn't hate the guitar but a seriously quality difference between the Gibson and the Fender was obvious. The Faded was also so ugly when I actually saw it in person that I ruled it out immediately. A guitar should be beautiful in my opinion. The Strat is quite versital also with the selection switch. I also really like the Frets on this Strat. The Carvin has fat frets and I had never played until recently any Fender Strats and found the Frets to my liking. The finish is the traditional sunburst which is so beautiful.
The finish looks a quarter inch thick.
This is only about my personal setup expectations. I haven't had a chance to
put strings on the guitar I like. The set currently on it are BIG compared to my liking. Also I would like the strings lower and being aware of Carvins the lowering of the string height on a Strat is new to me.
Top notch construction and quality. The materials are so superior to a Mex or Squier. The cost is more but in this case you get what you pay for.
You can't go wrong with this guitar. Because I played some 2003 Strats I have to say that I saw a difference also between the 2000 model I bought and the 2003 models.
Perhaps it was just the individual guitars. Also one store I went to had Strats new but they had been played and dinged and still wanted full price.

The Trem bar really sucks, goes out of tune right away. I know there are solutions to this; different nuts and bridges. I just took the handle off. Don't need it. The strings bend extremely easily.
It was like new when I bought it. Not a mark even on the pick guard. It looks and feel like quality when I play it. Fender's got the American Strat (as well as others) dialed in. Except for the tremelo, it's perfect.
My only regret is that I did without a Strat for so many years. It makes a difference in how I play and the level of pleasure I get from playing. I'll give it 5 even with the sucky trem. The rest of the guitar more than makes up for it.

It is very good to play as it has an excellent handling. The corpus is heavy and very balanced. The neck is u-shaped and has a very good feeling to it. Mixture of humbucker and single-coil (2)is interesting for a variety of sounds
The switch for changing between humbucker and single-coil seems to be in the way a bit and certainly doesn't look extremely robust.
Excellent constructin, except switch mentioned above.
I'd buy it again any day.

When I plugged in to my fender amp I listen that classic noise that single coil pickups produce.. but hey!! this is a Strat!! a Real Strat!!!, I play mainly Heavy Metal and the single coils are not the perfect choice for that music, so I changed the pickups for a dimarzio fast track 2 in the bridge and neck position and a fast track 1 in the middle, they are noiseless and with more gain and better character in distortion.
But for a clear sound thats nothing like a strat with good single coils.
: I dont like the factory setup !! The strings are too high and the intonation is totally crazy, the pickup height are acceptable but not the best.
Personally I Dont like the stock single coils (delta tone).
HEY !! This is the American Version of the strat, the finish is beautiful, clean its like a mirror, if you look at directly you can see your face and your smile in the strat body.
The fretwork is exact, and the finish in the fretboard is wonderful, when you put your fingers there, you feel a very very relaxan position that inspires you to play, Its a very very gooood guitar...
Well this is the original strat, when you got it you got the same guitar that hendrix, clapton, srv !!..
you can feel like they felt with their guitars.. that inspires you to create more music and learn some more...
if you are a bluesman, the strat is a have to.

- Three knob: gnral volume, one tone for the micro serious a tone for the other two microphones with a new Systm Appell "delta tone" ... I will get back.
-The guitar is sold as a tuis fender with all accessories: chifonie, jack, cls, strap.
There is therefore here that the classic is almost the original configuration of the strata: no humbucker, Floyd, everything is almost the same for half a century.
UTILIZATION
-Handle: the handle is "C". I find it comfortable trs. Shredder, on your way! the handle is actually quite rounded which does not make this guitar suits the trs plans tapping for example. Personally I have a soft spot for well rounded handle that fits perfectly hand plutt the handle "plank" type Ibanez. It therefore appears that the normal round of the strat suits me ... amricaine requires finishing, the frets are perfectly polished it slides alone! well, I'm not objective on this subject trs ... One can also note that the strings are pretty moves away the key, like many guitar brand. It's a bit destabilizing to beginners but after a few hours of play it can be done quickly. Access in acute trs is corect. As I also is not an SG, so the top of the box 19 becomes quite dlicat ca.
Ergonomics: I love it. Dcoupes The body is perfect: comfortable and beautiful. The guitar is super lgre. Compare a Les Paul is a pen. Playing with a Start does not require any effort: it has no shoulder dmolie after an hour, the hands are placed naturally. It's not for nothing that is often said that the stratum is the "sixime member of guitarist "....... Ah dtail little of nothing: Fender had the (good?) Ide put a spring in the cavity of the vibrato to avoid accidents with the stem. It effectively prevent you from driving the good vibrato and that it ends up completely surlev. I quickly removed the little spring. Just be careful with the rod and everything will be fine.
-Sound: it's not complicated it was great sound for each position and not all rglages prs. For a Start sounds ugly, you really want it. on the other hand I remain quite skeptical vis Systm "delta tone". This is supposed to bring a boost to the lightweight micro acute (+3 db) and cut the tone on micro acute and medium which will provide both microphone, a sound so pure untreated. Discrete action when it is pushed a little button on deuxime tone one feels when one o 'click'. As was said, may make people want! rsultat .... mouai. Means just the boost the microphone gain medium can be strong, holding trs ear a little something. And is valid for clear sound! Soon as you pass by saturating the diffrence is compltement inxistante. This is not a default (I do not drop my note!), But I remain peplexe!
SOUNDS
First a little rant! Let's stop the blame strat not be able to make hard, trash and other music boosted. Although Obviously it can not: it is not made for that! Yet we read across "a pity we can not do with the trash!" this is ridiculous! it's like if you bought a clarinet gnialissime and you say "it trs well but we can not do with Slayer ..." You should not buy this if c'tait you were looking for something else!
The stratocaster is a scratch for gniale styles for which it cre t, force less for what is not his domain. Its vast area is trs, probably more than many other guitar. It will be perfect for the blue, the blue-rock, rock, funk, jazz (!). on the other hand, it is only on a simple micro end alder body is n'aurra NEVER sound as a Gibson with pais. In saturated still be missing from the body before you get into hard or trash plan. Let's review the positions dj known for some prs everyone.
-1: Micro serious one. The position of prfre Henrdix. It gives her a trs Flut clear that both saturated. Position idalie also for DLIR Gilmouriens
-2: Severe + medium. This position will give you the must in the clear. It is simply splendid. In crunch or overdrive, it sounds SRV trs. By varying the tones approaching a jazz sound.
-3: Micro medium. Its pretty slamming. I prfre saturated in that light.
-4: Medium + acute: rahhhh! this position is too good! excellent for cocote funky! ca claque terribly. L is really saying thank you to the microphones simple!
-5: Acute. The one I like least. Trs trs slamming, TFW same too! Well saturated.
All pickups are fairly quiet which is aprciable inatendu trs is for single coils. Effect will be almost too much for the mess! Good reverb, a chorus soupson, lgre saturation, there's no need to make weight for the sound to be sublime hand if you want to play the Hendrix wah a one and a big fuzz derrire and even the great!
OVERALL OPINION
There is nothing I do not like her! Anyway for now! J'hsitais between a Start and a Les Paul studio. Stratum had my preferences because (my opinion) I found it more versatile, more comfortable than the LP. I tried the Start with humbucker has not convinced me .. If one seeks a humbucker sound is better to turn to gibson rather than taking strat "hybrid" (again this is only me!). The series highway tai not bad either but we quickly understood why it cost me that the American series: the finish leaves a little DSIR, varnish such as trs pais.Question low price c is on it's expensive (not counting 50 more if you want a sunburst) but it's a guitar that is kept throughout his life. And the price also depends on the quality there is no default even when that is apprciable.See less10xaula71

This gives a clear palette of its very large, except of course the big saturations.
On my tube amp, when I push too much saturation sound loses definition and becomes unpleasant to listen, this is the problem of single coil fender.
But if the Jazz to Rock, it's great and more with the characters!
The clean sound is great, Dire Straits, Eric Clapton etc. ... a must.
Low-distortion sound very very good too ....
The large distortion, adios amigos, we must move on anything ...
I also find it lacks sustain.
Note, the pickups give a bit of noise in saturation.
This is a guitar that needs a different type guitar gibson, ibanez humbucker has to broaden the spectrum to the metal / hard rock
OVERALL OPINION
Guitar that I recommend, although I found it a bit expensive, especially the finish is not the best.
His problem now is that it is less versatile than some recent guitar.
There are guitars on the market at the same price, but more versatile, even if it was not the characters microphones fender.

SOUNDS
This guitar responds very well for me, since I play at Hendrix Deep Purple, Rainbow through ... and even Metallica ...
I play with a Peavey Classic VT Series 100, something very old for an amp I think,
It may sound divinely with my strat: it's a really big and fat, with sharp snapping .. But I use my pedals over the "Bright" my amp Boss DS-2 Boss OD-2 Boss CE-5, and Dunlop GCB-95, which enables it to play the chameleon, moving from good to disto disto greasy much snapping and even a sound approach to ac-dc. Clearly, it is really great, it goes really creamy treble sounds a lot more outspoken ... and low levels it can send a lot.
For my part I like the big sound, very fat, but is rather sensitive to sound, I can not stand the treble too powerful, but it suits me, you have to modulate the sound. What is not so hard.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for almost two years ... It was just "for" in a closet ...(^_^)
As a general rule, I like all the guitars ... But startocaster is really a great guitar, I like its shape, ergonomics, in short, is the perfect guitar, but obviously not for metal these days .
I tried other models, but it is really one of the best guitar.

The fret board is finished! it's very enjoyable to play even if it lacks a little something, but it is comfortable seeing the concurrency at the same rate, we ask questions ...
Access to acute classic is also the great classic of the 50 => very blah. The heel is too big, we can attack the 22 but can not be comfortable between 19-22. The factory settings are correct at least on mine.
The ergonomics of the body is good, it has the instrument in hand, it holds its own. knob the volume does not bother me, some find it too close the strings.
I put 10. The heel is not a problem if we chose the Start => There are plenty of models so choose the right one.
SOUNDS
Here, you can attack with an amp.
- First test on a fender hot rod deluxe:
It buzz around the piece was full of neon ... We all know the quality of tests in stores. It sounds modern strata, but it was more the gain in terms of vintage microphones, it's pretty happening everywhere.
- I take home with me to get the max of the instrument in good condition. Plugged into a Laney VC30 its clear lack of the instrument body is flat and really nothing more. I stick a Od-808 maxon home and it goes to the SRV-Hendrix blues. The positions are simpatoches intermediates. The distortion of my bulldog is messy, the microphone is a bit easel all but the handle is really quite soft in distortion.
- I change the pickups for Custom Shop 69 Fender. Then we exchange completely. The instrument takes on a different scale. Bcp less flat, music and much more dynamic. The real great defect micro original is the lack of momentum: it sounds a bit like always. On an amp that sounds, we feel right now. There is no room for expression, it is difficult to pass something through the instrument.
- Hop, a tour to the two-point vibrato. Floating, it is disappointing but sticky against the table, we give in the voucher. The holding is very good tightening and adjusting the springs requires commme. We should not rush too much even when the stem is thin enough! 0.5 millimeters more good would not be wrong! It's so easy to distort the stem with the vibrato. Well it breaks the strings every week during the first month!
I started to get tired of changing the high E and then suddenly it stopped. I do not know why, maybe the bridges that have been made (it is time bor ***) in short it's all good (after 3 months ...)
- The switch makes no noise, the cavities are not shielded ... Nothing serious with the original pickups but with vintage ... => To
In short, the here are the pickups. I put 7 in it and I reviendais the top.
OVERALL OPINION
It's been a year now I have. I waited before asking for an opinion of course and not fall into the "Ouhai, I tried a 15-minute mag => ca kills Ouhai slip right!"
Then one sums without taking into account the sale price:
Cons:
- Strings that break
- Talon old and outdated
- Micros limits
Assets:
- It's a Start (very low but so true ...)
- Vibrato Effective
- Handle well finished
- Good violin making, copra much screwed.
BUT when you look at the price it was a shock compared to the competition. Why is that when it sells, despite the price?
It's a Start as I said above, and a Fender Start with just this, we can add at least 20% compared to the quality of the instrument. For € 1,200 you can have a beautiful sleeve, extra microphones, a good instrument consular and reliability in modern musicman / Vigier / maker ect. but not in fender. It's a Start and nothing else. I bought a strat knowingly, I expected and I only half regret. The look, shape, and the mark does not deserve in my opinion 20% above the competition. With quality microphones at the same price so I put 9. At that price, I can not put more than 7.See less10mrskwad

UTILIZATION
Yes the handle is nice it may be the only thing correct in this guitar
pleasant to handle access to a RAS strat like any other
guitar rings true enough in the treble if it is really good set but the accuracy is a big word, the weight for the paint on the body .... is the quality of wood ... The strata are present painted with a thick layer of polyurethane varnish like a bullet vest body is protected even imprisoned, asphyxia, why I decided to grind my standard to see the wood is here!! disaster
paints are opaque cache misery .. to put four boards of alder glued together! I have not yet digested! Thus a body part four! a SCANDAL!! The pickups and electronics are disposable if you're picky about the grain pattern crunchy and saturated except for people who love Star Academy, the dance halls rap and techno variety etc etc.
SOUNDS
It is suitable for Blues Rock Funk styles but mainly after each does what he wants with his scratching!
try these guys! Fender guitars are tons of different models and different sets of years and if you have a sensitivity of leaves and you will see oh so many fender fell down with mass production, it is also simple compared with other brands and you see ...
Fender custom shop and it's still y'en who not sound terrible, it's even more shocking when you see how much it cost at least € 2,600 in the entry level of up to € 12,000 for a custom built is by a luthier A to Z
I know some good luthier in France that are the same for 3000 or 4000 and € 5 euros more he will put the fender logo on the head!
OVERALL OPINION
For me the take is not justified and I will not do it again this choice, the only strata that pierced me again anus custom shop are done in the United States but above 2500 €. For the rest I advice to people who do not have the budget to buy a US Standard and its ready to get in trouble to get it, going on a chance to Japanese of the 80 or so of s buy the Classic Player 60 made in Mexico, killing one poiur the price I have tried several times. And honestly € 1150 for a US is not justified, unlike the thin violin player with the Classic 60 to 600 € will make the choice of the latter if it again because if it is not perfect the Mexico is a perfect point of view valueSee less85Newyorker

Best thing about it: It's an American Standard Strat. I'd had SEVERAL strat-ish guitars prior to this one- Westone HSS, brand-X strat copy, Squier Standard Strat. Mexican and Japan Strats are almost as good, and probably better values, but if you can afford it, or a good used deal comes your way on an American Standard, step up, if for no reason then you can stop worrying about upgrading, and concentrate on your playing.See less00silverbullet
