    Fender American Stratocaster HH S-1

Fender American Stratocaster HH [2003-2006]Published on 08/03/04 at 15:00
I am a MAJOR Fender fan. I bought this guitar online through a music retailer. It cost $809, but that is with the $100 dollar rebate from Fender (50 dollars off, 50 dollars back). I wanted an American made (God Bless The USA!) Fender Stratocaster with humbuckers, and the offer came up. It was to good to resist.

Everything. It has a Fender American Black Cobra humbucker in the bridge, and a Fender American Sidewinder humbucker in the neck. The tremelo is an American Standard 2- point syncronized, with stainless steel bridge saddles. It is smooth (I feel sorry for 6- point users). The S-1 switching is a new feature that Fender puts on all American Series guitars equiped with humbuckers…

The tremelo is an American Standard 2- point syncronized, with stainless steel bridge saddles. It is smooth (I feel sorry for 6- point users). The S-1 switching is a new feature that Fender puts on all American Series guitars equiped with humbuckers (Stratocasters- July 2003- on, Telecasters- July 2004- on)and on almost all American Deluxe Series Guitars (from Jan. 2004- on) To put it simply, it is a series/parallel switch, coil spliter, and additional pickup selection button all rolled into on pot in the crown of the volume knob. It makes the guitar worth every penny. The neck is one- piece maple with a rosewood fingerboard. The neck plate is ajustable for neck angle. The tuners are custom staggered Fender- Schaller.

    Nothing.

It's a Strat. When you think of an electric guitar, you think of the shape. It has great build quality, and it is made in the good ole' USA. Great guitar.

My dad just got an American Deluxe 50th Anniversary Strat, and it has 3- SCN (Samarium Cobalt Noiseless) pickups with S-1. They can mimmick humbuckers. But there is just no replacement for a good old lone bridge humbucker on the distortion channel ( the best sound in the world for punk fans) I like mine just as good as my dad's. Leo Fender was touched by God when he designed the Strat.

The Fender Stratocaster is a fantastic instrument that has been toured and recorded with in pretty much every recording studio on the planet. These guitars probably have been played on every single stage on the planet just because you're so versatile and their tone is just absolutely fantastic. They have such a great bite and a great feel and over all the voicing is just perfect for just about any music you can think of.

    SOUNDS

I love the tone of these guitars because you have so much to play with when you put them into your favorite amplifier. Whether it be a clean amplifier or high gain amplifier this guitar tone will rock you up one side down the other. I preferred these guitars primarily with the vintage Marshall amps of some kind. I've always liked me for input Marshall Plexi see your JMP type amp that is jumped with a jumper cable and one of these guitars set on the neck pick up position. Use a little bit of a overdrive for maybe a boss pedal and your have a favorite overdrive or distortion pedals and maybe a little analog delay and you can get some fantastic rock 'n roll tones that will sound great in pretty much any piece of music. This is just no nonsense three pick up style Fender Stratocaster that is simple but yet very effective.

    OVERALL OPINION

You can find knees in pretty much any guitar retailer or outlet store in the world. They're easily get found online as well so for the money right around thousand dollars or so there a great buy. I would recommend trying out a few in finding out which neck shape you like or prefer and go from there.

I absolutely love the Fender Stratocaster body in fact is probably my favorite guitar body shape depending on which week you ask me. I also love the Gibson Les Paul body shape and those two guitars couldn't be further from each other. Although they do have very similarity in that they both can play and just about any style of music or genre or band. The Fender stratocaster has a great versatility and sound that can cross so many genres of music making it very easy to jive with.

I love the tone of the Fender Stratocaster primarily because it has a silky smooth and yet refined tone and voicing. The tone of it is just fantastic and the music I play, I love the alder wood body with the maple neck. Those two wood combinations are just pretty much the best combination that you can put together. At least that is how I like the sound of the woods that are used in my instruments. Sometimes I like mahogany and sure some more exotic woods just for the pure look of them but nothing stands out as much is an alder wood and a maple wood guitar instrument. This guitar has three single coil pickups but the thing that makes this guitar sound the way does is the neck position pick up. You get the bluesy soulful tone that makes this guitar have a unique I've sound.

    OVERALL OPINION

You can find these guitars pretty mushy on any guitar retailing website or any shop in the world. There are probably the most used guitars in the world and probably the easiest to find out of any guitar that you're looking for. It's a great overall feel and if you're looking for the very first guitar that you'll ever own a maybe to guitar that you want to keep passed down generation generation there's no other guitar I will say that statement better than a Fender Stratocaster period. The hard tail is a little more harder to find but still very easily picked up on the used market

The Fender Stratocaster is a simple and yet overwhelming guitar at times because it has such a fluid feel, and can play in pretty much any band with any music on the planet. The tone of these guitars are of amazing and feel of them is even more impressive. This is a guitars that you probably hope that you can own one day if you don't already have one, because the tone of it is just a remarkable. I love this guitar primarily with a nice Marshall amplifier preferably with the four inputs. Using a jumper cable in this guitar is just flat out awesome and the tone is fantastic. Use a little bit of overdrive from a nice boss overdrive pedal on a 100 watt high gain head and you can get some great rocking tones. It's a wonderful instrument and for what it does and the price it does, there's no other guitar that I can match it.

    OVERALL OPINION

These guitars coming new right at around $1000 or maybe some $1200 depending on where you buy it but for that price you can get a whole lot these days. Just a great American built guitar from the balance and feel is excellent and if you need a guitar that is pretty versatile for any style of music or if you're into covers or play a lot of other people's music then this is going be a perfect guitar for you. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone because it is a guitar that is just amazing for any type of player out there.
