The Fender Custom Shop Artisan Series is inspired by the instruments created by the Master Builders for the 2013 Tokyo Guitar Show and focuses on a selection of exception wood tops.
The three Stratocaster in this new Artisan series are high-end models which will only available in limited edition. They all share an alder body with a hand-stained urethane finish, a bolt-on AAA flamed maple neck with a soft V shape, maple or rosewood fingerboard with 9.5” radius, 22 narrow jumbo frets, 1.6875” nut width and 25.5” scale length.
The three guitars are equipped with three Custom Shop Fat ‘50s with Lipstick cover, a master volume and two tone knobs and a 5-way blade pickup switch. The bridge hosts a synchronized tremolo and the Fender standard-type tuners have ebony buttons. You’ll also find on these instruments a 4-ply Tortoise shell pickguard.
As for difference, you can choose between the Spalted Maple Top Artisan Stratocaster with Buckeye finish, the Quit Maple Top version with Tigereye finish and the Walnut Top edition with Buckeye finish.
