UTILIZATION
In terms of approval, I found all the qualities of C-1 diamond series (see my review on the hellraiser C1).
There is thus a great violin, both balanced, not too heavy (this is a guy who plays guitar SG No. 1 said that you), with access to acute absolutely perfect (it's a type that plays SG etc etc ...).
perfect for me handle (big palms, large short fingers ...) and interesting for its hybrid side: it is fast enough, especially in the treble, but keep this round in hand that makes you want to go to games sometimes more roots, the rhythm, or riff ...
the hardware is largely the road ... It's beautiful and reliable.
The finishes are very good, although a tad short of the hellraiser-I had a few years ago (imperfect trimming plate truss rod a little fast finish angle-head nut, with adjustment bof factory, as the assembly of the original strings). It is nevertheless still seriously nail into the cavities, whose covers are shielded ...
little quirk in the routing: the volume of pickup which is the closest of the fingers, and that the handle is in the middle ... not shocking, but I did not used to.
This guitar is unique in sound already very strong ... Empty! whole instrument vibrates, the sustain is huge and harmonics come naturally!
SOUNDS
First recall my two configs:

> A config group: electronics AMT SS-11A + + EHX 44 magnum cabinet orange PPC 112
Let's start by stating the obvious:
This guitar is a killer in the hard / metal records.
Microphones bring a lot of gain, but still defined. However, they are significantly warmer and organic than the EMG, which in my opinion is a plus when it comes to break into a mix.
In addition, they manage to shake a little amps to achieve a truly sharp distortion: my SS-11, version A, comes out of the hi-gain quite musical and defined with this guitar!
But I was also surprised to see that the excavator can do much more than the area in which you tend to confine:

Based attacks it will occasionally drop by 20-30% the volume knob to avoid cruncher on muscular right hands, but subject to that, it's pretty warm and round, regardless of the position. This is the best description I think this guitar in addition to its metal shovel side, it also actually sounds very Gibson, very organic .... Very short fat rock.
The sound consists of both microphones certainly HiGain active and quiet, but also warm, musical, violin and full mahogany + ebony. The pickups do not betray the violin, the violin does not spoil the rendering microphones ... It is the combination that gives the sound and that's good!
OVERALL OPINION
I left at the beginning of the idea of a Gibson Les Paul Studio 93-97 years, with a predilection for guitars and mahogany set neck. Nevertheless I had excellent memories of guitar Schecter has been a hellraiser C1, excellent shovel to my taste was faded by EMG that made caricature.
received earlier in the week, I had the opportunity to play in quite different contexts and rigs, and both say that I'm really delighted with this ultimately much richer and music that his first guitar the marketing target suggests at first.
