Washburn X40PRO

I sold my old epiphone Demon V and some paintball gear and was looking for a better guitar on musicansfriend.com. Boy was it my lucky day! They were having a clearance sale and i bought this baby for 200 bucks! it list for 700$!

Oh man, I don't have enough time in the world to tell what I like about it. It is so easy and smooth to play, just amazing. I play hardcore metal and this is the guitar thats gets the job done plus more. I can sound like System of a down, Slipknot, Mudvayne, etc. one sec then switch over to the single coil and play like slayer.

I don't like how it's so perfect! I like to complain about stuff but this is just amazing.

Solid and sort of heavy, not for you weak lings! My strap broke (i guess supporting it) and it hit the floor and not one dent, scatch or any sign of it hitting the hard concrete.

If you play metal/hardcore or both then you must have it, but it's no longer being sold in stores and musicans friend no longer has it so good luck. It's crystal clear and hardcore. I got mine in the metallic platium white color and it catches alot of eyes on stage.

I play on a vox AD30VT amp with modeling and I get a LOT of different sounds (the vox amp is not an extra, it will be even better with a tube amp).

For settings YMMV, this guitar not do everything, run the mic delivers warm sound and precise double, and with the splittages gives her a lot of approximating the fender, and slamming crystal in the saturated sound is bold.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for one week.
I love everything about this guitar, the sounds, the look, the handle, the floyd,.
I tried many other models especially without floyd but I decided to take a floyd so I took the x40, but if you do not want floyd, Washburn has a lot of other models performed very well (the pro x50 for example).
The value taken is staggering, I got it for 693 euros offered fly (hint: the site audiotubetech.com if you are registered on AudioFanzine you have 20% discount on Washburn and a bunch of other brands ) the fly box is offered and the price for quality like this one I called you jump at the chance.

yes I would do this choice in a heartbeat for those who think one view is not enough a buddy of mine and also bought and is very happy, Washburn did a very good stuff, not known enormemnt in France this brand offers value for money guitars really amazing.

here I know I'm being too positive but it's true, the only minor weakness is that the x is removed there was a box of 12 th.
