The HD 218, HD 228 and HD 238 Precision were launched at the 2009 International CES in Las Vegas.
These headphones are said to have been optimized for use with MP3 players, Apple iPods, Apple iPhones and other portable devices.
HD 218
The closed ear cups are designed to screen out noise pollution, such as the clatter of the train, the chatter of the people sitting next to you and ambient street noise. The HD 218 has a black over-ear design.
HD 228
Neodymium magnets are designed to guarantee a crystal-clear stereo sound with first-class depth reproduction. The soft ear pad cushioning is designed to allow the HD 228 to be worn comfortably.
HD 238 PRECISION
The HD 238 Precision features balanced stereo sound, an transducer with neodymium magnets and a frequency response from 16 to 23,000Hz. The headphones have an Open-Aire™ design. The HD 238 comes with a protective black pouch.
