« DiMarzio Twang King »
Published on 01/31/02 at 15:00The pickup was purchased online through the Torres Engineering online catalog for the very reasonable price of $48.95. It was chosen to replace the stock bridge pickup in a Fernandes tele style guitar.
The Fernandes tele sounds excellent for clean or overdriven tones. Installation was easy, just 3 wires to be soldered, 1 to the switch and 2 to ground.
There is nothing about the sound I really dislike, although the treble control on my amp needed to be increased slightly.
Great DiMarzio quality & manufacturing. Comes packed in a hard plastic case for minimal damage in transit to the customer's home.
The Twang King really beefs up the sound of any Tele or Tele style guitar without losing the clean Tele tone that we all know and love. The Twang King's value is 8.07k and can be used in the neck or bridge position for that vintage Tele classic clean tone.
