sonar 5 producer editon problem

hi im using sonar 5 pro ed but whatever i do cnt seem to get it to record my vocals...i import the beat n it shows its wave pattern then when i try to record it just copies the wave pattern of the beat but doesnt record vocals...i know its not the way ive setup my mixer n mic because when i try audacity it record so that means it is all in order but jus dunno why it wont wrk for sonar???????
pliz help..

You might try changing the record channel on Sonar. Make sure you are not just recording the same channel over again.
