Topic can't put humpty dumpty together again
Hi guys..
I'm just a neophyte when it comes to setting up pc's. I recently moved my amd processor to a new desk and pulled out all the wires...now i can't figure out where everything goes. I can't seem to get sound. I understand that the green means speaker...blue-line out...pink is mike in,black sub woofer and orange is digital out. I plugged headset into each while playing music through media player...but can hear nothing. I don't know ehere to go from here and i have no idea what "midi" means.
Can anyone help?

I wouldn't think headphones WOULD give you any sound out of your line out jack. Try a set of computer speakers instead. Play an mp3 file or something that you know used to work before you tore it down.

Midi is a standard that passes data (not audio) back and forth to midi instruments. For instance, if you have a midi synth, the data sent will consist of "midi events. Each event will consist of data like what note (like middle C) to play, volume of the note, and length of the note.
