Whoever suggested protools free for starting software, it looks great. I'm trying to find my way around it, and I am a real novice, so I'm having some problems understading. I can set up and audio track, and when I speak into the built in mike, it records, and plays back OK and I can hear it over the iMac's speaker. But, when I try to do the same with a midi track, I can't get it to play over the speakers. I can see that the signal is coming in when I enable recor, but there's no sound. How come I can get sound with audio, but not midi ?
