Lamps: 1 12AX7 preamp and an EL84 in the power
A class!
5 watts, but do not be fooled!
An entry can leave the sound on an external 4 ohms cabinet
One volume!
8, for a small tone would have been nice ... even qd though!
UTILIZATION
Setup could not be more simple: you plug the guitar, it mounts the volume, play.
What manual?
SOUNDS
With what (s) guitar (s) / low (s) or effect (s) do you play?
jap a Jazzmaster and a gretsch g5235t modified: 2 doubles GFS nashville
attention: in my opinion, it is typed vintage instruments for the same type. if this makes sense ...
with the Jazzmaster, the amp suits me perfectly. it's really a return to the origins of rock. the tone controls of the guitar enough. gives a clear-slightly warm crunch fairly quickly, until about halfway down the volume. saturation then becomes wild (3 / 4 of volume). attention: it's roots, not for the metal or other ... it's really a typical lamps, both rough and chaud.les 5 watts announced are extremely generous.
with the gretsch, whose microphones have a relatively high output level, which is finally typed a little paul, the sound is heavier and bcp serious. I think the amp is less suitable, but I have not been able to push a large volume in this configuration. and it is a matter of taste. meet the acute seems thus necessary. Personally, I solved the pbm using my SansAmp whose settings are particularly effective! result, the amp sounds like a fender!
and in any case, I use a reverb-electro-harmonix holy grail, which makes it beautifully here.
9 points, but it will not suit everyone.
there is a buzz, we hear, and can interfere with some. substantially disappears if you change the lamp, according to some. saturation changes while also less dirty visiblement.je have not tried yet. but for the price, do not hesitate!
addition: after testing, changing lamps is to make absolutely!
OVERALL OPINION
I have since yesterday, and went with a friend who has a Carvin Vintage 16, for comparer.évidemment, this is not the same category. The valve has a side a little wild, especially in its simplicity! and it is in any case a real amp does not offer the same settings, or the same versatility. but it has a real personality, his real lamps. It also allows me to play at a relatively low volume clean sound, with real warmth, and a sound that is not comparable, I think, with the models.
qd very careful to look for the saturation, we must turn up the volume, and 5 watts advertised seem very underrated ...
for the price, it should absolutely not hesitate! but do not necessarily have the versatility ...
