Zéro Kill
A pure delight !!
Published on 10/22/14 at 15:22 (This content has been automatically translated from French)The characteristics are the same as the Studiotone but here we are talking about a 40 watt and a slightly larger size. Roughly three canals with a shared EQ. DI output for external recording live with different voicing (not tested yet in my case). One little even to be silent amp and playing it without damage. Headphone output. Loop (very effective btw) effect. 3 x 12AX7 preamp and 4 X EL84 power. Speaker 12 in the manufacturer. Reverb and foot switch. In short if you want all the details see the site it will be more comprehensive. The finish is gorgeous and impeccable !!
UTILIZATION

UTILIZATION
Simple and intuitive use. Unless it's your first all-tube not need to read the manual. This combo is very pretentious !! It is very small but it makes for a great !! Lightweight and compact it has headroom of death. What projection !!!
SOUNDS
I rock, pop, blues and my band of covers. The clean sound is divine. Very musical and never aggressive. With reverb that appears excellent to me that channel alone justifirait buying this amp. Just make a deal and hear live, what happiness !!! I have owned around 15-20 amps in the last 10 years then I begin to know it a bit anyway. The OD channel is very very gradual. Unlike other amps if it is in overdrive at low levels Koch breathes well and it already feels attacked. I love it. If you push it goes to the very heavy distortion. What is rare is perfectly linear progression of OD never compresses too. The greater part of the time once exceeded 60% of the remaining distortion is more akin to adding compression. OD + a pronounced personality of its own I think. It's not Marshall anyway, apparently more of Engl. After a month of use my opinion is not yet established 100% on OD +. Last noteworthy fact, and not least, we have here an important power on hand, 40 watts RMS anyway, and yet the sound is sublime even at low volume !! But then there really !!!
OVERALL OPINION
You can always fall back like everyone else on Marshall, Fender or Mesa but I highly recommend if you have the opportunity to try a Studiotone XL. Powerful, compact and lightweight it has it all, especially the sound, and what his !!! Perfect finish and beautiful look. What I like most: SOUND, finish and feel quatlité, its format, its weight.
I like least: Bah !! I like everything. I always buy a lot and sold it but then I keep it for sure
