iamqman's review"Nice british tone"

Laney VC100
The Laney VC 100 is a nice little combo for someone who wants one of the most versatile amplifier companies in the world. This is a great little combo they can get you a lot of versatility in a lot of tone ringing for just about any style of music. First off you have four channels which consists of a light and overdrive, and then you have a distortion one and a distortion to channel. There seems to be a lot of buttons and switches on that face plate of this amplifier but don't let that confusing. The layout of this amplifiers pretty easy and is extremely self explanatory.

You have two inputs one for high and one for low and you also have an effects loop on the back. You have probably a very basic EQing section on the front panel at you would see on most amplifiers along with a solid presence control knob that is very adjustable and can tweak your feeling of the amplifier from room to room as you see fit. This is 100 W amplifier and believe me you can crank out a lot of volume so be prepared. It is a good bedroom volume amp so you can hear a decent tone at low volumes.

This amplifiers pretty easy to use in again is self explanatory. It has a strong British feeling tone in the voicing is very martial bike. You can get a good clean tone from the clean channel as well as a good classic rock tone from the the overdrive channel. The distortion wanted distortion to you are great for it either switching from rhythm to lead voicings. This these channels are very interchangeable what you can dial them into half to lead tones on top of your overdrive we can have one as a good rhythm channel and another one for another rhythm channel. The possibilities of total variance is pretty endless with the four channels as offered as amp.

I really like the tone of Laney amps in general. If a good squishy overdrive saturation feeling and the clean channels are better than what I have come to understand from Marshall amplification. I pretty much like just about anything Laney does because they are very user friendly and very good at getting the players exactly what they need for recording or getting purposes. This again is 100 W amplifier hate uses 6L6 power tubes to see you can have a lot of increase in the top and bottom ends of the frequencies. What I mean by this is that your base is going to be very full and it's good to be very low and very tight. The hives are good to be very sharp and clean and tight as well. It is suffering the midrange crunch a little bit because you're not using EL 34 power tubes but believe me this is a great power to section for the sample for cock fire and its voicings. You also have two 12aX7 preamp tubes which didn't get you a lot of preempting is going to be a lot of adjustability within the preamp section.

These have been discontinued for a while mouse at the use market is the only way to go at this point. This is a great little combo and if you like the tone of the British amplifier then this might be the way to go. In my opinion this is a stronger amp then many of Marshall's combos amplifiers that they have put out so if you're looking for a good British tone and you want something probably a little bit better than it Marshall amplifier that I would suggest going with this option or alternative. This is a fun amp and get the great tone and a great recording tone.

Laney VC100
4 lamps amplification 6L6;)
6 12AX7 preamp tubes
100 W
4 channels: light and overdrive / distortion and a distortion 2
Various output connectors and even too ...
Connecting an external Bafle possible
Effects loop x2
prescence knob adjustable
switch "resonance" and switch "bridge>> possible to increase the treble in rhythmick funk or other ..
2 input jack (guitar) is that a high and low, (full volume or reduced volume)
I my 10 because it is really very very full!

Using very simple one connects the ring!, Just let the heat as any preamp tube amp ..;)

No manual for me .. purchase.

For use in this apartment can be perfectly suitable as there are input "low", and the sound is not too distorted.
Personally I only use the high and sends serious, a gas plant! even stronger than a marshall 2 bodies! 'I speak in power ...
9 because I my weight is still a handicap of time ... lol

Suitable for blues, jazz, rock, pop, etc. ..
I use it for blues rock and he won the hand! blues sounds!
This is reminiscent of that has 4 6L6;
Its hot, very hot, happiness with either a fender or a gibson ...
Clean channel: Superb! excelente definition!
Channel overdrive / distortion and lead: good greasy overdrive and warm, in terms of distortion is what I say but hey, I use it very very rarely (I prefer the pedals).
It does not have to fade before some fender reissue expensive.
Cepandant he has not a round is to say that we are not in the typed marshall, I repeated 6L6, very very warm and crystalline !!!!! Add a TS9 and a srtat with texas special pickups and you pull the wallpaper so it's good!
The only small snag when I had this amp is that it sends too much treble! This was due to bad light bill! Relamping and the story is played! ;)

I use it for at least 7, and it almost never need my good ...;) just a small problem one day fuse that has been quickly resolved and the desire to light that I quoted at above.
What I like most is the sound!! And all the features it has! And some reserve power if you must send WATT!!
The least it will be rather weight, I see that his personal ..
I had and I played on many amps, I not compare this amp with many of the transistor that will not help to have so many test fender, hughes Kettner Laney and others in the same range but less power is really the top 100 VC! and too much neglected by many musicians as this really worth your amp! of course it is not comparable with the vox or marshall or mesa, to me anyway, because is not the same as other brands I mentioned for its slightly more to the distortion.
I read below that the amp was equipped with more HP, I had a personal occas so I do not know what is original, but for me the first 60 are SUPERRRRR Vintage! !
In short, very versatile amp, excellent QPR! the bomb this amp!

So we have the all-tube amp! and there are a few ...
mine is mounted with 4 SED winged C Svetlana EL34 for the power and 6 * 12AX7 lectroharmonix for pramplification ...
it should be noted that one can opt for a 6L6 switch to switch the bias if singing.

two between high and low
an effects loop (send / return) with the rglage shuffled from the main signal
SETTING THE prsence a
True two channels with switchable legalization spares
rverb (spring) on each channel.
between an amp

HP12 2 "jensen.

The manual is quite clear on the use of the BTE with a party to obtain prdfinis sounds good ... but not essential ...
you plug one turns the buttons you press the buttons and there is much super fast rglages nice!
specially mention the buttons at the top of a hen luidonnent rtro look super nice.

Level sound, this amp is a killing machine vritable!
PSE and I my words ...
100 W lamp ... I never got up to push del Submitted by 4 so it is violent ... and dj 4 everyone on the fact scne becaufe the mouth means more than me.
the grain is fabulous, the clean channel retransmits all the subtleties of my strato, velvet! a phaser and a 808 in it and becomes the fabulous ...
and when you switch the channel B, the sends a really bad, the good fat, hairy, smells like a beer and sweat ...

Ct amp I bought used for a ridiculous amount (500) and the choice I would do with his eyes closed!
his only problem: his weight! l is the horror! vritable not a death
and as it is a light amplifier, well what are the usual worries, you should let it heat a minimum before playing for the potato and let it cool ... APRS.

Laney VC100
- All Tube Amp 100 watts, for one four 6L6 power tubes and 6 lamps prampli 12AX7. This amp is a good radiator heating in winter and light in the dark.
- 2 channels with 2 types of DIFFERENT sounds on each channel (Clean, crush, Disto Rock Lead). Rglage spar for both channels.
- Reverb and bright switch for clean sound, resonnance
- Multitude of loop effects, exit prampli, Line in, exit HP and footswitch
- A between High and Low from

Amp very versatile, a Equalisator diffrent for each channel provides the his desire.
I appreciates most is the crunch. If not for the distortion sound was good vintage lamp (I love).
The manual explains a little but not very accurate:

As prcedemment say the sound is very versatile, we get a clear switchable sound bright, good crunch, a rock distortion and lead. Personally, I rgle the amp to get a rock sound / blue style. And this amp is a marvel.

The BMOL this amp is its weight, it is VERY heavy (40 kg). I hsiter between Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and Laney VC 100 VC 100 after the test is complete.
