How to get a good sound? I'm still looking!
I said I was looking for a jazz or blues rock sound.

I tried this amp with a music store. At my request had brought for me to try. I take this opportunity to thank the way, guarantee a very good professional.
In the first 10 seconds I realized it did not suit me. Tried with a 335 I found her very hard, not soft, serious?? without scale. Drive in the same conclusion. It is true that I do not have a strong preference for the EL84 but the EL 35.
But the more annoying was the vibrations encountered playing the bass, string vibrations in a lamp likely and also in the unit. The test stops facto!
Designed in England! yes but made where? I'll let you guess.
OVERALL OPINION
I like my reference amp twin who needs no introduction and especially Carvin XV112 that I use again and in concert. And we do not play in the same court. Both the Laney is very very average, as the Carvin gives a clear sound beautiful, velvety, serious exceptional. Brief made in the USA with components indestructible.
This Laney sounds like the vast majority of amplifiers manufactured today. Asian productions, go your way. Better a good amp U.S. or England 80s.
What I liked? Actually not much. (Excluding commercial relational Music Store)
What I did not like: The sound (but that's a bit subjective) and vibration in or lamps and the body of the amp. Unacceptable.
Value for money? for the price prefer a good vintage amp. A similar cost can find a Rivera Chubster, Fender, used or otherwise.
You understood my choice is not this one, and especially not the current Asian productions!
