« A slap in the ... »
Published on 04/17/11 at 03:04100% lamp
Two Celestion speakers!
two outputs direct out (in bad quality ...)
an effect loop send / return
a switch 50W/25W
etc. ...
Maximum power: 50W (25W switchable in, yet happy because 50W is ... TOO!)
Two channels, one clean and one lead
Reverb, gain and volume to the two independent channels
EQ shared between the two channels (if you change one, you change the other person ... it's a shame but the equalization of the clean channel suits me very well lead)
No effects except reverb (it is fulfilling its role, pleasant to listen)
Included footswitch: channel and reverb (the reverb turns on or off for both channels simultaneously)
I put 9 because I wish to go through an exit direct and via a DI out directly on the mixer, but in this case the sound is better through the good old celestion and microphone. 9 because of the shared EQ also ...
UTILIZATION
Configuration very simple, it turns, it comes out, we're happy or not, if not: you go back and it's good
Manual? What manual?
Within hours the amp is under control ...
SOUNDS
The clean channel is a real slap in the face ... It's not clean fenderien, but ... Here, it speaks for itself It's very sweet, crunch it too (unless you get on the gain but hey ...), it's just wonderful ...
At the lead channel, the gain goes up to 20 ... so it's heavy, very heavy. I do still goes that far, and with the gain to one hour / two hours, it sends the bass distortion fairly clear, beyond it gets a bit sloppy and fuzzy boundary ...
OVERALL OPINION
I have since the beginning of the weekend, I spent all my time to test it and to enjoy happiness.
I've had in my possession that transistor amps (Marshall, Line 6 ...) but I had the opportunity to test the Fender Super Champ XD (lamps) of the second guitarist in my group, and are not photo, it plays at all in the same register at the ... So clean that distos available
I traded a Gibson Les Paul cons Studio 2009 + 70 €, I could not pass up a Marshall all-tube, especially since in the end, the sound is exceptional, and that the JCM 900 are no longer in production long ... I was told that it dated from the 80s, but knowing that the JCM 900 series was launched during the 1990s that ... So an amp that should be within 20 years and will be extremely valuable in the coming years!
