I have been with my jou Epiphone Les Paul (in custo Duncan SH-4 / SH-2) and my Start over US (custo
SSH, Lace Sensor Gold / Gold Lace Sensor / DiMarzio ToneZone) and volumes lev (never much more than 3 / 4 in master even when not necessary). The amp sounds, I remain of the view above.

At high volumes (3 / 4 of the Masters), the bass is more muddy. It's probably the same design of the amp (combo 1x12 "open back). Too bad I did not hook up the possibility of a closed back cab with 2x12" or 4x12 ". .. should be a interresting

Recording output: standard output rcording without SETTING THE level, nor any simulator. So it is convenient to register without a microphone -> but impractical to an amp simulator (like iZotope Trash) in the ass if the track is unusable. OVERALL OPINION

I've had one week but I think I'll boil a long time .... To play stuff from the cool (blues slow quiet) boogie rock pchu well, when you love the sounds and warm vintage, this amp is really the bomb. No need to have a JTM 800 plus a deluxe reverb and especially not need any distortion pedals of. I tried before, my Clubster, and then:
Fender (the distorted sounds are less close to what I'm looking on the hot rod and company, although the crunch I had the opportunity to test a bassman ... But I still rve cruncher to a bassman amne headphone, must play in the big room), Marshall TSL (dception), Vox acc2 (the new one: but I did not like saturated), Brunetti MC2, Engl classic, Laney TT50, Soldano reverb o sonic and Astroverb (parenthse between the saturation of Soldano is extraordinary but less deep end and clear when there are reverb-o-sonic), and to my taste, is Chubster exactly my expectation in terms of sound. We are dealing with a superb tube amp handmade in US, covered with leather rather sensitive to shock, but with incredible visual quality standards in this range (fender hotrod marshall JCM2000: For info, j 'I already owned these amps)

Channel 1: Marshall

Just a word to emphasize the principle of "one type of amplifier per channel" (Marshall and Fender), with the filters that come with ... innovative and very wise.

UTILIZATION

Super simple setup and running in the first place. Fun on the first sounds to be found and say that the quality is enormous. And after a while it is more in-depth patient to sculpt the sound ... the knobs are hyper sensitive and it is a treat.

I use the amp with a PRS Custom 24 US, a Fender Aerodyne tele telecaster and a copy of which I do not understand how it might sound as well (or better than other tv us !!!).

Rather marshall blue rock on one side fender and fender of the other.
But the amp has its own identity so far and that's the best!
Cruncher and can saturate the two channels (a little thin on the saturated channel fender but hey it's not intended to be the hairy kind).
Basically then, the dominant style is the blues, rock, and all the lamps are better around these styles.
The metal can anyway stay with us because for me, with a well-refined setting on channel marshall, the PRS on the double acute and 21 saturation Tech which I use as a boost more than saturated, and guess what bin ? it's tough to very nü metal! Previously I had a Mesa F30 more modern sounds (more funk and metal) and I thought all the guitars sounded connected always a little too "mesa" and ultimately did not give their own signature at best.
Here, the Chubster has its own identity but it is combined with the identity of the skyscraper and the expressiveness of our fingers.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had 4 or 5 months and I still have fun even now develop their potential.
What I like most about this amp is its versatility (the more furious than roots) while retaining a signature "Rivera".
Some say it's the type of amp just connect directly to the guitar but for me, I use it with half a dozen effects to specific passages or at least limited use (wah, saturation, Zvex fuzz, delay, chorus, sampler) and each time he would come out very well.
No regrets except that having bought used 'someone had to put a reverb fun Meru jef @% $ *! in place of the original.
The only thing that would grieve and I come back early is that there is no way out but extra HP is the only thing! Especially as for value for money are no better.

1X12 combo made in USA, 5 12AX7 in prampli, 2 EL34 tubes in power (the DD in my case), an HP Celestion Vintage 30 (an option that may apply), black Tolex finish and golden gate , class. Effects loop (not adjustable) and no control supplmentaire HP (damage). The amp breathes quality full-face and shows.

The manual is provided in English but who cares. The knobs are rglages of hyper prcis like all Rivera. We can sculpt and refine the sound with great precision. The amp possde two channels: a typical Marshall and a Fender typ. Each channel its legalization, gain and master volume. There is a beautiful reverb trs who does his job (exploitable, I find on my old Clubster 35).

I play mostly blues, pop and rock (no mtal) on my Stratocaster Vintage 62 (with microphones mounted Fralin vintage hot). I always get beautiful clear tone or overdrive. The amp is extremely dynamic and ractif the nuances of the game, he always respects the grain of the guitar. Its strength remains even when the sounds are clear, for which Rivera is well known: it is hot, sharp and sweet time, lens, simply superb.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 6 months to replace my old Rivera, a small Clubster 25 (he is also a small bomb). The Chubster is more complete, with a quip 12 (30 vintage and more), it sends more bass and clear channel rglages are more complete. I appreciate the overall sound quality and manufacturing at the top. I regret, however, the lack of output supplmentaire HP (I was told that a qualified technician can add it in 10 minutes). Remember that the amp is small and reasonably heavy (20kg), so easily transportable. Without hsiter, I do it again this election and I will stay home Rivera for a while yet (can be a Rothelle who knows ...)
