The Mesa boogie F 30 amplifier combo is a great little three channel amp that can get some stunning clean sounds all the way up to some brutal dual rectifier tones. It has a chimy bell like clean tone that is just exquisite to listen to. Then you can take it up to a medium classic rock type again sound and then punch it up for some dual rectifiers thick saturated tones. Mesa boogie build some of the very best amplifiers in the business in this amplifier at the price in the convenience of this little combo is one of the best ones that they've ever done. It's a simple design and a simple little combo amp I can get you some great results.

I absolutely love the tone of Mesa boogie amplifiers. They have such a great warmth and thickness with chewy gain sounds as well as brilliant clean tones that just makes playing a lot more fun. I never been really a fan of vintage 30 speakers but only in a Mesa boogie content. I don't really get the results I'm looking for with the circuitry o anything else. The voicing of these Mesa boogie amplifiers with the 30s just worked perfectly for me.

This amplifier very easy amplifier to control it doesn't have a whole lot of tricks and different switches and knobs but just has a basic game, treble, midrange, bass, reverb, and then your master volume controls. You have many little switch to engage the contour and switch the channels and you have the same at EQ settings and control knobs for each channel. The separate clean channel so that you can have a perfectly aligned clean tone with a perfectly aligned gain channel.

OVERALL OPINION


These amps are not made anymore. See you how to find them in the use section or the classifieds. I'm not sure exactly how hard they are fine but if you can find one for a decent price and I highly recommend picking it up. This is a great little combo amplifier for someone needing a good little practice amp at home in the office or the bedroom.

USE

Operation is simple but you have to spend time to find a suitable sound.

SONORITS

I have tried quite a pal F30 and sincerely none really made me pack.
The grain is raw, with a lack of obvious roundness and warmth, the dynamic is good but its really too directional.
The bass is narrow and cold (VOX AC30 The too has low narrow, but so hot ...), aggressive acute and rappeux.
Crunches do not have this mouelleux that one can expect from a tube amp in this price (no better than a classic 30 three times cheaper) only shoots distos restore the body (and heart) this little combo.

NOTICE GLOBAL

I'm not very fan of Mesa amps in general (a engages only my tastes) but you have reconnatre that the F30 is much too chre for that sonorits it proposes, for the same price will take a tour of the ct Brunetti, Orange, Soldano, Hand wired Marshall, VOX AC30 (or greenback ALINCO) etc. Who themselves offer sonorits match their price.

USE

I possess for almost 3 years. I had several tube amps, the last two being a Peavey Classic 30 and a Fender Hot Rod. nice amp but so below ...

I love the amazing sound, small footprint, the relatively correct weight, quality workmanship.
I do not like (but ignores) the very sober presentation.

Price, € 1,600 is very expensive. I bought it secondhand from € 850.

WARNING: as already stated, 30W lamp Mesa is already a lot of sound. In addition, equal volume (in decibels) with other amps so good, you will hear the Mesa because it is more accurate. And finally, I have friends who play with a Fender Hot Road 60W, and a MesaBoogie F50 (50W) ... The poor will curse themselves for having taken so powerful, they are at least amp for concerts in the concert hall style cafe / bar, and suddenly the lights are useless to them.

30W is perfect.

The F30 is not that combo, you can buy the head only, but honestly, the difference in price and less than 100euros (about 1500), while the HP that is inside is worth easily 500 !

UTILIZATION

So here's how we try to get a good sound with this amp ... ON THE CAR!
on the other hand, you need a little search to find YOUR sound good. And make no mistake, if your amp is new and this is the first time you hear the sound of killer, you may find it below what it really is. I advise everyone to test multiple configurations, each for at least 30 minutes!

The footswitch (included) is effective, even if it lacks a little something in my opinion: it is possible to choose the contour of the foot or distortion to the amp, for against, the outline of his clean only can be changed to the amp.

The manual of the amp is in English, but it gives a lot of advice to continue his amp (like not to push too acute, and many other small details yet).

SOUNDS

The clean sound: very accurate, and unlike other amps (I played on Marshall), mediums exist! This allows for a very clear and rich. But playing a few adjustments, you will find a fast one with lots of character (and character you choose, if not it wonderful?)

The Crunch: I'm not the expert crunch, I would simply say that it is the same quality as the rest of the amp. As soon as one goes up a little gain (more than 4 for example), we can make it sound like a distortion.

The disto: wonderful. While having a powerful sound (strong, oh yes!), Of round or shouting depending on your settings, you can hear every note of your dealings out of the amp. Sorry for those who love to have a big sound disgusting or it does not distinguish any harmonic or sometimes a beat (I sometimes wonder if for some of them is simply to hide their weaknesses guitarists), but the F30, you can be the powerful, rich, and clean. I makes me happy.

For recording studio sound engineers are all fallen in love with my amp, it remains on the ass so the sound is nice and clean, and NOT STRAY!

REVIEW: I play melodic punk sometimes taking to the pop rock ... I wanted the music very melodic but full of energy. The sound of my guitar is now on its own pure energy and pure melody. The beauty of sound is breathtaking. (I play a Fender Telecaster Esquire Custom GT, but I also tried with my Yamaha, always very very good)

The F30 contains an HP combo Celestion Vintage. This is precisely the HP makes the best sound this creature. But for those who want a heart attack with a volume worthy of the big scenes, and with a definition so pure it will make you cry, I recommend the celestion vintage MESABOOGIE 4HP (the same exists in Marshall, with the same HP, but not the same wood or the same fabrication, and I assure you that the result is not the same !!!).

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for some time (too soon), just a month, but still I play 5 hours a day (too little time, as I said), and a friend seller was already playing on this amp since its creation, so in fact I know this amp for a long time.

My favorite in the F30, it's really all. It knows no flaws in my view (for what I plan to make an amp). He has a great mouth, its small size and the fact that it's a combo (when all the pros are proud to have head + HP) mean that most people do not prepare to hear a sound so fabulous, if powerful. The surprise only reinforces the admiration that people have for the F30.

I went through different amps, but the F30 is my first all-tube amp. I squat a lot of my amps lamps guitar teacher too, H & K notament. I tried many amps in the store as well. I did not set any limit to the price (well, until 4000euros), and guess why I chose this amp!

The price / quality ratio is incredible. Yes, it's expensive 1500euros, but 3000's double. There are amps that are much more expensive to do more, perhaps, but not flying the F30 key on (its clean, crunch and distortion). And me anyway, I find it nice not too far from what a guitar sound at the base. I compare it with a little synthesizer that mimics the violin ... I prefer the violin, in its pure essence. Moreover, the amps transistors cheaper you let go much faster, resulting in repair costs and replacement. In the end, you'll spend a little less in the long term with amps that you have much less satisfied. We must make a choice there!
