With the volume knob at three quarters of the way you start to get some crunch, but the master level allows you to do it without getting deaf.
The lead channel is THE main asset of this amp. The sound is extremely dynamic, the dual switchable gain stages and the volume control allow you to switch between slight overdrive and heavy distortion. The distortion is not made for heavy metal but rather for a fat 70's sound. I love it and this channel alone is worth the amp.
OVERALL OPINION
I've been using for almost 10 years. I love its very dynamic lead channel. The clean channel is not so good and it could sound nicer.
I tested a Fender Roc Pro, which had a better clean sound but its distortion sound was too dry. I also tried out a Marshall Valvestate, which had a less natural sound.
The value for money is good if you buy it new and excellent if you buy it secondhand.
