SOUNDS

I use it mainly with my Stratocaster.
No effects, just a bit of reverb.
The knobs accurately model the sound. Race fine and progressive.
In my case its clear, I find my default setting. A clean and well balanced. For "crunch" so just pushed the guitar volume ...
With distortion, the gain knob to give all shaped your sound. Again, the amp is capable of reproducing all the nuances of the game.

OVERALL OPINION

I wanted a vintage amp with a sound and very specific settings and look fabulous. Difficult to find in this business. Between gadget amps with 200 buttons and effects, so that the halves are useless and big brands with reissue amps years X, Y, it seemed to me that some things still missing. Did not necessarily want to owned several amps, I turned to the "custom made".
It's completely by chance that I came across the website of Jean-Michel Herdhuin (JMH Custom). A small shop to Grenoble with an artist ready to give life to your dreams inside.
Being several hundred miles everything is made by exchange of correspondence electronics. And this is the one already recognizes the talent of this Sir, I have the impression that he knew what I was looking at his level, look etc.
JMH I recommend for anyone looking to really have the amp of his dreams.

UTILIZATION

It is very easy to get a good sound: just plug a good guitar and good practice. The head respects the character of the guitar plugged.

No man writes Jean-Michel Herdhuin (the manufacturer of the head) will answer all your questions!

Configuration is very simple, especially because each setting has an effect
clearly audible.
The rendering is of such quality that instead of spending time on
settings, the guitarist can focus on the rendering of his own game and its interpretation.

SOUNDS

I mainly used the head with a guitar equipped with EMG 60 and EMG 81. The mix of microphones and setting the tone (guitar) enable a rich palette of sounds with the same settings on the head.
It is connected to a speaker Celestion Vintage 30 in a cabinet that can be open or closed (which changes the character of the resulting sound).
No effects for the moment (in particular, no reverb), but a "delay" soon, I'll do an update.

The clean sounds are excellent. Air without being metallic, percussive or may become warmer as necessary. A real pleasure.

The saturation is superb. Again, the head seems to excel in all that the guitarist is able to send. Blues more or less "crunchy" in metal, the grain is beautiful. The amount of distortion provided by the head can be easily chained pieces of Tool and Metallica. It does not become messy and all the notes agree.

I was looking for a head excelling in one or two styles, rather than a versatile amp but only 'good'. In the end, I am blown away by the palette of sounds that I get and the quality of sound provided by the head.

OVERALL OPINION

I use the head for a little over 14 months, with increasing
pleasure. It is also possible to request a particular look. It is
not so easy to define precisely a look for a amp head, but Jean-Michel has identified very well what I wanted, and the result is beautiful (and, moreover, on a first look at the time of its creation) . A single object, that is kept for several decades.

The price / quality ratio is excellent. It is great to discuss the
desired with Jean-Michel Herdhuin. In the end, it is not only delighted
have a excellent amp head, but also the entire buying process.
A good memory. Nothing to do with supermarkets filled with music
useless gadgets which we try to leave as soon as possible with the
desired promotion. Nothing to do either with a multitude of small
stores (eg, Paris) where feels no passion (if not
that of the figure) but a lot of arrogance and concern for appearance.

I strongly advise anyone wishing to buy an amp or a head to see the creations of Jean-Michel Herdhuin (even, if necessary, to postpone the purchase to save a little more). I find it very difficult to regret such a purchase.

UTILIZATION

This is a head made for lovers of vintage amps lamp, who are tired of machines that have all the uniforms same PCB and the same Features and functions. Here is a simple and effective: first the volume is large (in small rooms you will still lower the volume ....) and then use is intuitive: one branch and a rock and sounds roll and the blues .... OVERALL OPINION

I know recently. I bought this excellent craftsman (I'm not against the Chinese workers to eat, but our orfvres also need to eat ...) in the vicinity of Grenoble a fabulous little combo that was almost DTR ador my amp (a fabulous "The Valve" 2-50-2). And I tried this one, I believe my cages honey. This head is what I was looking for years!
I like the sound, the look, the possibility to rgler perfectly as I want. the number of amp I've tried before adopting it is Lysen. report quality price? Unthinkable. 850 euros a head .... No need to comment: all handmade, welded point by point, component sorting, lamps to choose from.
Choice I do it again of course, unless I put the ocarina, and more ...
