I have 2 1/2 months, used for metal Si and more anecdotal to the rock Mi Is it because this is my first head, but the setting is a little long at the beginning ( rpt 3-4) ... not that sound that can be learned are bad, on the contrary (it is always "musical"), but the knobs are so precise that it is a little difficult to beginning to understand. Especially the push-pull system offers many additional opportunities EQ. So do not hesitate to spend a little time, one-half unit to the right or to the left and the sound is changed fairly straightforward. Same for the gain knobs.
It is sold as a metal and very large gain oriented head, but curiously, I do not think the level of saturation so exceptional. I do not think it would go for the death metal or some "Nordic". Compared to a 50 per exple Rectifier solo, it is less aggressive even pushed forward: a little softer. Suddenly the gain knobs are used throughout the course, the sound is always accurate. So far I have not used the boost too with large distortion.
To the question out of the mix live, no problem! : Bravo: Because we can do a bit of everything you want at the EQ and it has a lot of dynamic (!). Even in standard tuning with a 4.5 gain and cutting a little low (-2), the Dynamics button (just) at noon, slap it down well in attack as soon as a bit string.
Difference Ryhtm / Lead: The lead channel is higher in volume (with the same settings) and a little more in the medium. It is not quite the same grain. This is a design that suits me: it helps to have a different sound, ideally located in the spectrum relative to the rhythm, but remains consistent. This is in addition to the opinion of the engineer-in sounds live
Otherwise, in general:
- It's Chinese, so with defects like: std-lamp by which flickered at the beginning (but not affecting the sound, it did for 1 week and since it turns on properly), the pedal cable which plugs look rather fragile (one screw has already crossed ...
)
- The reverb is a pleasant surprise: a single parameter, but it is correct
- The variety of sounds: the slight crunch on a single handle with a gain to 2.5 (very warm) rock between 4 and 6, and from rock to metal begins to strive beyond 7, it really fate well in more styles that could not be expected.
- The clean channel is usable (again good surprise) even if sharing the channel EQ with saturated, so it limits the possibilities
- A lot of breath on the overdrive channel when the knob beyond 13h 'Watts', which does not include playing but can be annoying on the breaks. Do not hesitate to switch to clean to shut him up.
- The final quality / price ratio is very interesting!

- Tested with an Ibanez with 2 EMG85 in neck and bridge (yes, really) on it, I rediscover his head a little, it's party time at Tatallica black album It responds very well to cutting edge EMG and compact.
But ultimately, it is not so metal that advertising would have us believe (it comes out perfectly anyway), in that it is very comfortable in a heavy rock or even register with a its not too compressed, nice crunch, when compared to a duplex or Engl, I find it offers less saturated.
