Where is the beef
Published on 01/31/12 at 12:25Laney amplification has been around for a long time. They were one of the first amplifier companies to really take the British voicing and compound on it. They're one of those companies that use that familiar British tone and gave it a lot more features and saturation. These amplifiers really take on that heritage that lthey started years ago. This is basically 100 W amplifier has two channels of operation. This is an EL34-based power amp tubes section as you probably would expect from a British company. You have a high and low input jack to give you that medium gain all the way up to high gain application.

SOUNDS
If you've ever played any type of Marshall amplifier or even in orange amplifier then your in good company with this amp. This is 100 watts loud sonic British tone that gives you a little bit more features that standard Marshall Plexi or Marshall on JCM 800. One cool feature that existed is the line out and line in of the power section. So basically you can run a wet dry wet operation with the out as well as going direct for recording as well as having the line in of your favorite preamp and using Laney's power amp section of this amplifier. That's a cool feature and you don't see that tofeature on many high gain amplifiers.
OVERALL OPINION
These amplifiers are great alternative to a Marshall or an orange amps. It does have multiple channel so it gives the user a lot of flexibility in features that you wouldn't find out of a single channel amplifier. Overall this is a good amplifier for someone who needs 100 W of power and needs multiple channels to cover a lot of musical possibilities. These are great amplifiers for recording primarily because of the line out features as well.See less10 - scorchesofduskPublished on 01/22/09 at 04:07 (This content has been automatically translated from French)This is the new generation of home VH100R Laney.
So nothing new except that more (and larger): A lot less breath!
Moreover, the logo is smaller and less coarse, and handles are inlaid directly into the head, a little less bulky and more convenient.
UTILIZATION
Very simple configuration, intuition gives a sound that matches what you expect! (Well at least for me)
Minimum: The manual in English, technically, even as almost fluent in English, it is difficult to understand certain things.
But as I said, this head is very easy to use.

I played with two guitars characters, a Lespaul Gibson and a Fender Lace Sensor with Microphone (red silver blue)
I will get very good cleans brilliant and very distos crystal but it is extremely versatile and the ability to work many sounds!
OVERALL OPINION
Having already recorded on a mesa triple grind, and played on many marshall ... I prefer the Laney VH100RN 10 times!
I use it recently but I know it's an investment sr and I'll keep it long.
The design is very sober, but this new generation, the head is very class! we do not realize the picture but when I came out of the box i was on the ***!
The price is very affordable to nine (1152 euros at thomann.de) and used at the moment I have not seen it yet.
I would do without this choice problem.See less20
