A word about my new custom amp head NOS, I have chosen EL34 and 100 watts.
Two channels (footswitch included + a switch on the front), a clear and a full, clear channel can be very light or crunch when you push the gain.
Knobs for gain, bass, treble, mid, volume on both channels, master volume knob and a more "sweep" that moves the band of mediums and a knob "rumble" which controls the "resonance" and gives the boot to removes his or her next position.
A switch behind the head switches to standard or mod mod-sided, very interesting in the style and played the guitar used.
An output line out and a footswitch input, and various inputs for the speakers impedance: 4ohms, 8 ohms, 16 ohms, 2x8 ohm, 2x16 ohms.
The effects loop series is impeccable, I finally have the sound I wanted with this head is clear, it is dense, it is metal but it's still warm against my former Powerball.
Versatility is real with this head, I wanted to go back to the EL34 side "warm" and there it is, the clean channel is great too.
The master volume allows you to play at low volume while having "sound".
There is some grain, but without compromising the accuracy of the thickness too.
I changed two lamps preamp on the five original approach me for a little more of his sought after and there's the fact.
I do not put a lot of gain (5 / 6) but by adding a small "tube screamer" well regulated, a delay in the loop and have the sound I love.
It's hard to find words but if you are looking for a head, think of NOS, is French and Gerard will listen and give you a tailored sound.
I am satisfied with my purchase, period.

EL34 tubes + 12 AX7 knowing that this is the config of my head. When ordering from our, you can ask for EL34, 6L6 or KT88.

What is the power delivered?
100W
Also available in 50, 60, 100 and 120W

What are the settings, the effects? ...

No effect against by the presence of a permanent effect loop.
2 channels: Clean + Lead
As for adjustments, a 3-band EQ, gain and channel volume + presence, and sweet for rumble (can change the spectrum of the equalizer)
In conclusion, simple amp, not futility, we will direct to the point!



UTILIZATION

The configuration is it simple?
Yes, very. Comes with a footswitch, which lets you juggle between the two channels and that's it. The rumble of ustilisation, sweet, and the presence and the sound changes significantly without typing in the extremes of knobs.

Do you get a good sound easy?
No worries. The effects loop is very effective and in which it is connected, the sound is not altered.

Right for your style of music?
Absolutely. For my part I was a fan of MESA BOOGIE correct and sound with its characteristic grain, but there .... attention, it's much less slimy than Mesa in the sense that the sound is clear and leaves no room for error.
It has the ability to switch to a "normal" to "front".
FYI, I play Dream Theater, Satriani, but also the good old pinkfloyd or Dire strait through the The Darkness ... Clearly, and playing on the volume knob on the guitar, you get a lead of hell or a smooth crunch.

How long have you use it?
It's been a week since I have in my possession. Before I played Mesa Boogie MARK IV, Roadster, Triple and Dual Rectifier and I did not want to look elsewhere ... I had an epiphany and a superb OCCAZ drove me to trailler Mesa ... But this is only happiness. I really appreciate the accuracy provided by this amp FRENCH proving that we can do a very good home too, without relocating!
As for value for money, I can not say too much knowing that I shared ... But looking closer, you have an amp custom when ordering on the site NOS and furthermore for the same price as Mesa.
However, for me, the look of the NOS is less glamorous than a Rectifier. The lines are purged of futility. This would be my downfall, and the only one.
With experience, you do again this choice? ...
I was looking primarily a tube amp with a great leader and a true clean channel, equipped with an effects loop. Frankly, I do not regret and I do not do advertising by denigrating other brands, but I think I'm not ready to change (except force majeure).
So if you ask me if I do it again this election ?????

So for the CLEAN: Gain a small switch in faade to choose whether the channel is going to clean CLEAN lightweight or lightweight crunch crunch crunch large (a is a personal option), Bass / Mid / High and Volume.

For LEAD: Gain, Sweep, Bass, Mid, and High Volume.

2 more pots that work for two channels: Rumble (or how to add the sound of dj c_l standard) and Prsence.

At the rear I have a small switch Modern / Recto, nothing to do with Mesa Recto mode the amp sounds softer, round.

The only galre I had was when I tried to have her a rotten old amp transo 80's (DLIR c'tait for a song) that I had to have the exceeds by an external EQ, I can not have a bad sound with this amp, even though looking ahahhaha

Perfectly! Normment I play metal (tuning in Si), the Post / Rock (like Cult of Luna, ect ..), Jazz and Dub ... no problem for the sound, and yet KT88 power is not what is most versatile!

Dean, Gibson, Fender. In effect: Boss AC-3, Boss RV-5, Crybaby customized.

Everything is possible, just look a little bit (including the interaction rumble / prsence and the sweep for the mids sound saturated. In disto I never been so massive and prcis (j ' Grard'd demand a compromise between Nile and Necrophagist for distortion)

Have you tried many other models before acqurir?
5150 (beurk..) JVM (re-yuck) Single and Dual Recto (not bad but not great). I was well liked in the Uberschall Bogner but when I saw the price I found too expensive .. basically a 10aine heads.

How do you report qualitprix?
Amazing as handmade, customizable infinity amp ... it keeps life.

Exprience with, you will do again this choice?

Without hsitation!

100 W tube amp handcrafted to your specification and sound. Mine has 3 channels (clean, crunch and lead), the crunch and lead sharing and equalization presence. Changing channels is via a footswitch to plug the back of the head with a stereo jack (very useful if you have a MIDI device that can switch). The equalization is conventional, except that medium which can adjust the frequency through knob SWEEP. It finally makes low-medium FRONT way for rhythm, or the midrange / high-mids to get out of the mix. The effects loop is very simple but very efficient and transparent. All might seem simplistic, but it is a false impression, since all are being exploitable, even extreme settings.
Finally, the build quality is above reproach. The wood casing is very thick (25mm at least), either on the cabinet or head. Installation and fit. Tolex grille and very well finished. Packaging for shipment impeccable.

UTILIZATION

What I love about this amp is that its simplicity does not make an amp specialist. I am a former possessors of Mesa Road King. It was a great amp, but it has default I do not see on the NOS, ie:
- Much has only obtained its large volume, not the foot to work at home.
- A kind of unpleasant resonance in the high frequencies, which fades when you push the volume.
- One side gas plant, which has the qualities of its defects, it gives a lot of possibilities but it is difficult to resolve.

With NOS, not the needs of manual settings are very intuitive

SOUNDS

It is very easy to find your sound and all sounds are good or excellent. The clean can be very bright or more velvety, more fleshy depending on settings. A slight crunch appears when you push the gain with a humbucker. Listed saturation is happiness. Everything is here: precision, definition, full body, beautiful bass that do not "eat" no distortion when you push them. I was looking for sounds kind Petrucci for prog metal, I've used. The gain crunch on channel 6 can vary the distortion with volume knob on the guitar. Lead channel with gain to 7.5 provide the sounds coming out of the mix, always very well defined, without fatiguing the ear. The sound "liquid of choice. For now, I have not found better.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 4 days. I played ten hours with a musicman Petruicci a PRS CE24, a guitar with EMG metalheads. There is nothing to throw. The timbre of instruments is respected. The cab used was a 2x12 horizontal OUR who must also be for something. I owned a Marshall, Vox and Mesa Boogie (DC5, Triax + 20-20, Road King). I also tried many other amps more or less extensively (5150, ENGL, VHT, Carvin, etc). For my part, I find excellent value for money, considering what you get from competitors.
