Usage:
Home-use recording studio and jam sessions and rptitions

iMac Intel Dual Core 2GHz / 1.5GB RAM / HD 230Go

Used with:
Various electric guitars and electro-acoustic and bass
Micro MXL V69M (electro-static lamp) and occasionally Behringer C3
Roland Synth (Analogue connection and MIDI)

Purchased in July 2008, book with firmware 1.1

Shame there is no output RCA Line ...

UTILIZATION

Installation:
No problem. PC should look for drivers on the CD, but once you install everything goes without any problem.

Incompatibility:
PC when the Wi-Fi enabled standard silent latency (up to several seconds!) Leading a dsynchronisation interface with the PC. This apparatus, however, that the problem is linked internal bus speed of the computer. Wi-Fi disables it works almost perfectly (I recorded a BPS of 1:30 in 2 runs with just one or two dsynchro ...)
Mac, no problem.

Configuration, help, instructions:
The manual (English only) is rdig and allows novices to learn the basics. The software of the CONTRL CueMix is trivial. No problem of this cot l.

GETTING STARTED

Drivers (and SHIFT):
I have yet found no problem in terms of drivers. I never need to download the Update (see, apparently, there was no rcemment).

Software utiliss:
PC:
Mixcraft 4.x (in WAV and ASIO)
MAC:
Audio Desk 2.0 (included with the bug)
Digital Performer 5.1
Logic Express 7.2

Performance:
Apart from the problem evokes above, nothing reported. The most that I had the opportunity to record 4 audio tracks + silent a MIDI track simultanment. Latency is around 10ms (without trying amliorer).

OVERALL OPINION

I bought the bte in July 2008 (rdaction end of the comment in October 2008)
This was the first purchase of my little home studio, so I can not guarantee the maximum intgration MOTU in a system that complex. I am young (17 years) and beginners in the field, so my opinion is not relevant to the most demanding, but he can guide j'espre less express.

Pros:
- A transparent, trs little breath on pramps.
- Ease of use
- Up to 4 simultaneous mix using the same inputs
- Compatibility almost complete (there are only Pro Tools who refuse ...)

Ngatifs points:
- No possibility of attnuation signal output recording software (-> the only solution is to iron the signal in one of the entrances to the MOTU using patch Cables, do go through the CueMix DSP and out of another exit)

Comparison, prices, options:
I have not had the opportunity to try other similar products, however I think for the opportunities it offers, the price of this interface is justified.
