Blade is a virtual synthesizer that uses a "harmolator" synthesis to generate sound.
Blade’s Harmolator is a 16-voice polyphonic “additive synth system” (which can also operate in mono mode) that allows you to access global controls for synth creation. A number of control systems allow you to further edit your tones.
Playing with the wave of the sub-oscillator are achieved via nine knobs designed to help you find the sound you’re after. You can then add distortions and filters.
An XY parameter screen lets you work by moving the mouse around within the panel to affect the sound, or alternatively draw out your paths and then replay them over and over, tweaking as you go.
On top of that, there are envelopes, LFO, XY and velocity controls for the Harmolator itself. Furthermore, you can affect your synth further by allocating further creations with two free LFOs, two free envelopes and four modulation slots. All the parameters are MIDI editable as you’d expect.
There are 27 effects – reverbs, distortions, delays – and a 16-step Arpeggiator, which can also handle your modulation sequencing.
