I advise you to brief you really let go with his eyes closed because Spectrasonics has a big slap fuck all the nicknames of the designers .... There's no easier, it not consume a lot of cpu, well ok I have the smallest of the mac pro 2.66 dual core Intel with 4 GB of ram and it not crash, even with 8 loaded sounds in Logic 8 Multi Output So I can play eight different parts MIDI ok ???...

In addition, the updates are really magical, they proposed 2000 additional patches need to see the sounds, something for everyone and all tastes .... I was very happy here and I just wanted to tell you that ... good music and down the controversy jak

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Mac Pro 2.66 intel dual core + 4 GB RAM

CPU at the top without crashing.

    OVERALL OPINION

Since one month I use Omnisphere.
the sounds are very true to be very present (I record in 24 bits)

I have all the virtual intruments in spectra Rmx, Trilogy, Atmosphere, and this one is top notch (50 GB of sounds?? whouaaaa)

great price for a great synthesizer, and without regret I will buy more if there is one day. Trilian I catch it when you get out of your nose tip.

No problem. Installation is simple extrment, as always with Spectrasonics. The Systm for obtaining keycode via the website is perfect and the problem quickly due to crashes of drivers and other key ilok synchrosoft. Everything is perfectly stable for now with Cubase SX3 and patches are responsible trs quickly. But I will take time to try anything ..... RV in 2050!

    OVERALL OPINION

    GRANDIOSE!
There is frankly nothing more to say. The Bank of patches 4000 is a variation on impressive there for every taste with a quality sound phnomnale. Traditional instruments sound just to rev the majority and the synths are simply beautiful, deep, full of motion. A beginners will find his account: total immersion ds THE FIRST note played with ... one finger! The composers are more experienced rgaleront before the possibility of modulation effects and much more numerous and powerful than "Atmosphre".
I particulirement the care taken to the classification of patches and give information on each of them (what a job!) For his dcrire utilistaion or recording mode. Well done! I know of no other plugins dmarche a t o this leads.
The interface as it heals trs. Buttons and menus fall easily to hand. I just wish that the window is not just to avoid more bars dfile the long tedious. Given the current notches, there was room ...
In conclusion, I would say that this plugin is certainly expensive, but it makes so many other deprecated. It is my plugin synth the most complete, most modern and most successful of the market. Plutt than buying two or three here and even if the competition offers trs INTERESTED, choose the necessary!

I’ve used this in Logic Pro 8 and 9, in 32 and 64 bit mode without a problem.
I have a Mac Pro 2.66 Quad Core with 8 GB of ram and a White Macbook with Intel Core 2 Duo Cpu with 4 GB of Ram.
The installation is really easy and the the manual is well written.

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

The software reacts really well, however to use its full potential you need to have at least 4 gb of ram. With 8 gb and in 64 bit it works like a charm.

    OVERALL OPINION

I've buyed and demoed a lot of virtual and hardware synths over the years.
I've also had an Access Virus TI polar, but I wanted a simpler and more cost effective setup.
I've used, absynth, Massive, Predator and a lot of other until I found Omnisphere.
I can simply say that it covers everything you will ever dream about a Synth, and also beyond that point.
From Reversed Piano, to full on aggressive Industrial Leads, it covers all the ground.
The synth engines, the fx, the preset manager, etc. all in this Virtual Instrument screams "Top Notch Quality".
Don't be discouraged by the price, the first five minutes you will use it, you will want to sell everything else in your keyboard arsenal.
Outstanding product, from a perfect Company!!

    OVERALL OPINION

Omnnisphere is one of my first VSTi for PC and the least we can say is that the quality / sound is exceptional when compared to the hardware / machine.
For example, the Sons "Human Voice" are to die for! a real choir on hand and the rest is just as beautiful!

If one adds to this, free updates, new "Sound Bank" as The Bob Moog Tribute, you get a really concentrated full and very impressive it will even be "very" typical and characteristic of highly personalized Spectrasonics its almost that difficult to mix with other VSTi.

    The "less":
    - The samples that slow or increase in ryhtme after you press a note or severe acute (not all samples)
    - Arpeggiator "limited" to point to note, you can modify / customize individual notes of the arpeggio.

    The "plus"
    - A real synth for a very low
    - An unbelievable sound quality
    - Opportunities for publishing comprehensive
    - Very good effects
    - The compatibilities of other soft drinks as Trilian or Stylus RMX
    - The clear and simple interface

Omnisphere is a VSTi that does not leave you indifferent, a real inspiration to be a very good basis for your compositions!

The CPU goes up a lot, but also with a stylus rmx multitimbral (8 channels), and East West Symphony, AC turns niquel pr yet. I have not tested through several Omnisphere and Stylus by shielding the tracks but good because I never think they need more than 2-3 Omnisphere and idem stylus, AC should.

    OVERALL OPINION

sounds breathtaking depth, width, do you draw the poils.De all software synths that I've tested by far the best. It is well worth its price for me.

    Coupled with a stylus, enormous.

I remake that choice without hesitation.

The installation is done it without problems?

Yes, but it is very long.

    The general configuration is easy?

Everything is very clear if one looks a bit on videos from Spectrasonics.

    Have you experienced any incompatibilities?

Not really, however, passing on Snow Leopard, it must updater before registration of the product, if the key does not work.
On Live 8, after the update in 64bit, the software no longer appears. But it's probably a false manipulation on my part.

For how long have you been using it?

    1yr

Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice?

As time passes, the more the number of my compositions embellished with several Omnisphere increases. The richness and depth of sound than what has been done. The synthesis is very simple with clear interface and optimized software. Choice again without hesitation.

What thing do you like most/least about it?

Plus: Stock sounds great, easy synthesis
Minimum: the sounds are sometimes hard to insert in a mix given their wealth, you never know where to dig the EQ.

What is your opinion about the value for the price?

Sound designers, composers of all styles, everyone has something in this app. The price is a detail when we see instead that the software takes in the studio.

Since I used the Spectrasonics Omnisphere at a studio that is not my own, I didn't have anything to do with the process of installing it. I will say that I don't believe there were any compatibility problems or any other issues that I know about. I did find the interface of the software to be pretty user friendly, although there is certainly a ton that you can do with the synth and a lot that I haven't began to dive into. The basic sections of the synth include those for modulation, oscillator, filters, LFO, and envelopes, which are pretty standard as far as synths go. The basic sections of the synth include those for modulation, oscillator, filters, LFO, and envelopes, which are pretty standard as far as synths go. However, Omnispehere goes beyond just these features, offering up advanced control settings and parameters within these different sections. The presets are awesome, with a lot of control over them as well. If you're familiar with the make up of virtual and hardware synthesizer, you'll be able to catch on quickly here, but if not I'd recommend having the manual around to give you some clarity.

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I can't say that I've ever had an issue related to performance with the Spectrasonics Omnisphere. However, I should note that I have run this on a Pro Tools HD system, but haven't used it in Pro Tools iteself. Rather I used it in both Apple Logic and as a stand alone. I controlled the virtual synth with an M-Audio Keystation Pro 88 MIDI controller. It is hard for me to say how well this would run in another system, so I'd recommend that those interested try out the demo to see how well it would run on your system.

    OVERALL OPINION

Overall, the Spectrasonics Omnisphere is an extremely powerful piece of software. It has an almost endless amount of possible sounds, with a ton of control over all the presets as well. This wouldn't be my number one choice for a virtual synthesizer, but it is definitely up there with the best of them that I have used because of its vast array of high quality sounds. The synth will cost you about $500 USD, which isn't cheap but also isn't too expensive when compared to some of the other synths out there. I'd encourage that those interested check out Spectrasonics Omnisphere as well as a number of other virtual synthesizers in this price range to help you gauge what will work best for you and what you're trying to do...

I have had no compatibility issues as of this day.  I don't believe I have ever referenced the manual for this synth.   There is really no need in my opinion.  It behaves like a traditional synth and its has a surprisingly easy to use interface for a synth of its size.
Yes, the setup is simple.  The synth is broken up into 4 main categories: Main (where you find a lot of the regular controls), Edit, FX, and ARP (arpeggiator).  Each menu is clear and easy to work with.  Yes, the typical functions are easily accessible.

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I run a Macbook with Ableton 8 and Logic 9 with Presonus hardware.  Yes, the software works great in this configuration.  It has never crashed on me and works well with my midi controllers (m audio).  As for performance, I give this thing a 10 out of 10.  The sounds are huge, rich and extremely full.  Building giant layered sounds is extremely easy and even more so satisfying.
I have been using this plugin for around a year.

    OVERALL OPINION

What do I like best?  Everything!  The interface is brilliant and makes any level of user feel like a monster and the sounds are out of this world.  Even with the very first preset that opens when you start this program, simply playing a C major chord will drop your jaw for you.  Also, this thing has somewhere around 50GBs of sounds/samples to mess around with.  That's huge!!  Sometimes its a hindrance having to many choices and options, but in the case of the Omnisphere, the huge amount of options is a blessing.
If I had to say one thing I don't like, as any artist striving to be as original as possible, using presets is generally forbidden.  What I usually do is tweak a preset until I find a really good sound and its fairly unique.  With this synth, the presets are so awesome that you have to spend time (feels like wasted time) to try and find something else that is just as good but also unique.  That's not really Spectrasonics fault, more like my own pride's fault.  This plugin belongs to my studio partner, I believe he paid around $500.  Thats a lot of coin, but if you can afford it, then this thing will surely be worth it.
The precision and quality of sound is amazing.  10 out of 10 all the way.
I have used a bunch of different software synths (sonicsynth, sampletank, all of Native Instruments, etc...) and this one is up at the top of the list.  If you could only afford to buy one synth this year, this would have to be it.
Yes, I would buy it myself if my partner hadn't already.
