Installation without problems with dvd provided, you just pass the updated software "play" at the end of the installation, a paper in the box warn you , the installation is still quite long, allow 30 minutes

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Configuration: Mac OS 10.7, 8GB RAM, Quad Xeon 2.66 (Macpro) soundcard maudio C400

Works perfectly with this configuration and is not too CPU intensive

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 8 months, I intend to put myself in the composition of "soundtracks" and music "classical" in general.
Here's what I can say.
At the "sampler" used by Eastwest which is "Play"
Nothing to say it is very efficient and stable.
Turning now to the orchestral samples (in this version Silver)
The highlight is clearly the brass vraiments which are of a good standard and has presques alone justify the purchase of the bank. they sound really good!
Sets by strings are not against the same level and has put a few joints and solos (solo cello is not bad) for something "realistic" it is rather difficult, effects (Trill etc. ..) mals are not!
Same thing for the "winds" we go from good to not so good
otherwise they are few in number clearly insufficient drums (you do not do much)
There are also some "choirs" irrelevant and Arpe (Correct)
I spend more.
Missing modulations DFX for certain joints, suddenly you can not modify as you want (especially the solo instruments)
The round roubin for staccato effects with the strings is very particular way
The possible settings are good sections on each attack, legato activation, reverb
To summarize you can not dial out properly sets realistic I mean using only the bank but I think it is very good to start and get your feet wet for cheap in orchestral programming before moving more seriously, it said I always use it for brass supplements in other banks
