[AES] SKnote introduces three new products

Italien SKnote is fully dedicated to hardware now, and will introduce at AES three new units, including its first 500 module.

Let’s start with what’s already available: Leso, released this month, is a mono/stereo compressor based on pulse width modulation (PWM), designed in partnership with an Italian magazine  and available as a DIY kit. It features balanced stereo inputs and outputs, a 2-band sidechain EQ, a curve compression control, Feed-Forward and Feed-Back modes as well as Peak and RMS modes. The interesting particularity is that Leso can easily interface with a software. Note that all knobs are stepped.

The  DIY kit is available in two versions:

  • The MS4 PCB only for 49€ + taxes
  • The MS4 PCB, components, connectors, controls and flat cables for 199€ + taxes

Note that the power supply, LED meters, knobs and other accessories are not included in the aforementioned kit but available as a separate kit for 239€ + taxes.

Other processor, this time in API 500 format, the AVE is an analog vocal enhancer and doubler. It includes a sidechain compressor, delay, pitch shifter, stereo chorus and a stereo width control. Le unit features mono/stereo inputs and stereo outputs and all the knobs are also stepped. No information regarding the release and pricing of AVE.

Last, SKnote published the blueprint of Etna, a fully analog 16-track mixing console with touch sensitive and motorized faders, motorized stereo sends; 6 ducking busses, channel multimode expander, multimode compressor and dynamic EQ, as well a Master compressor, expander and exciter. Following are the documents, more info expected soon.
