The new DWS800 digital wireless microphone system supposedly "promises to take the concept of a future-proof wireless microphone system to an altogether new level."
dBTechnologies DWS800 series is designed to address the problem of narrowing frequency bands by using its pioneering digital transmission technology, ensuring many more frequencies are available in a narrower band, whilst still providing maximum flexibility with its high switching bandwidth.
The automated set-ups can even be assigned to country-specific frequency bands, which offer the potential to operate up to 200 channels in parallel – almost worldwide.
Being a digital microphone system, the DWS800 is said to have the advantage of reduced interference, no loss in audio or signal quality and unmatched sound, and featuring Ethernet and USB ports for use with the management software, it is suited to the construction of complex wireless systems, especially for fixed installations and touring purposes.
The DWS800 should be available later in the year.
