Though I don’t own the MO6 anymore I still remember all of the cool songs that I made when I had it. The MO6 by Yamaha is extremely easy to use, really no navigation skills are needed because all of the butons are labeled and its pretty self explanatory. The MO 6 has just 61 keys and I chose this one over the bigger board because it was cheaper. The price of the MO6 now is still pretty high brand new and even used they are still expensive. I don’t understand why they are still so expensive considering the fact that Yamaha has released so many other workstations since this one so you would think they would come down on the price some. But they don’t and that’s why it jus sits on the shelves at local stores because for the price of this you mine as well dump out a few hundred more and get the MOTIF XS board used and its way better and more advanced than the MO line by Yamaha is.


UTILIZATION

Set up is easy, configuration was simple. No need for a manual if you understand basics of workstations. It only took me about 1 hour or so to really understand all of the functions of the MO6 so I never needed to even take the manual out of the plastic. Using effects are simple and they also have some pretty good ones though. I never really used the MO6 to sequence with though, I guess you could say I just got it for the sounds.

OVERALL OPINION

Overall, don’t get this unless you get it at a really good price, if you have to save up and just get the motif xs61. It will be way better than the MO6 will ever be.

sounds: this is why I chose. this is fine and clear. it returned alone in a mix. I also have a korg that I like but it is also much more present and bold. the next workstation is complete but it does not interest me too.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had a year to replace a Roland XV5050 + master keyboard. for me it's better. best sounds, months of stuff to carry around, so I do it again this choice, in addition to it still look robust.

I'm not a keyboardist. I was looking for a machine that would allow me to complete my songs with instruments by passages that I have not, and soundscapes different ......
result on the back! And without making any changes in the sounds on offer.
The most beautiful sounds are pianos, strings (violin, cello ...) and the flute is beautiful! and all the electronic sounds of all kinds are mind-blowing.

quite complicated to understand the settings but I did not even open the manual .... bad student. on the other hand is very simple to carry around in the huge bank of sounds

OVERALL OPINION

very satisfied. it does more than what I asked.

UTILIZATION

Every edition remains faithful to the spirit Motif ES, we find the same menus and pages in general. The sequencer is the same, the A SUMMARY / 4 structure elements (loyal to Yamaha), also the effects, treatment effects and settings ... For an insider Yamaha Motif Series, no problem. For others, it is a bit of practice but there are more complicated, other ergonomic issues ....
The manual has remained in the mind follows the same pattern and fabric, so clear!

I tried it in the store, the control / PC does not interest me ... But he seems to have been done ... Another product marketing this thing ...

The sounds do not differ from the Motif ES, they are qualities (pianos, guitars, strings, brass, bass, synth sounds most exploitable, the monstrous kits ...).
The effects from Yamaha have been proven, nothing to add except that in the Motif ES 5 parts more can benefit. In the MO6 / 8 there are only three but that's not bad, Roland has only three also on its Fantom.

OVERALL OPINION

MO6 tried in store, use Rack ES, MOTIF 6, RM1x, RS7000.
The +: the sounds .... the sequencer, effects are good, the price: € 1149 in effect at center Pigalle (PARIS).
the -: polyphony (64 notes) ...

The MO6 / 8 does not have a sampling section, as a backup: USB device. good, as there is no sample that does it well.

GENERAL NOTE:
I still do not understand our policy makers synths:
The motif ES6 (/ 7 / 8) is great: sounds, sequencer / real-time control and all ... but they are loading the samples in USB 1.1 !!!!!!!!!
With the MO6 / 8, they incorporate the great sounds of ES, where there are lots of great samples and reduces the stereo polyphony 64 notes !!!!!!!

Really .... In these terms the ratio Q / P is not good, I'm sorry but no!!
With this "product" Yamaha has a device for "scratching" customer PCistes.

YAMAHA should have produced a MOTIF ES without sampling function, and with all other characteristics: it would have made a great workstation. The Rolands are good at sampling and perfectly complement the Yamaha synth. Why products "flawed ".... Frankly !!!!!

Instructions trs complex and not very explicit (referring page etc. ....).
Much work is provided to understand the operation of this machine.
It is not impossible but requires a lot of investment.
The manual is a maze vritable (but not impossible).
Fortunately, the user forums are there to clear up the obscure ct.

The sounds are very convincing and makes all styles are suitable even if the examples are directed donns Techno?
The expression is correct.
The sounds my personal opinion are all excellent quality.
A good surout for guitars and drums and then everything else for that matter.
The sounds are expressive trs.
Choirs only left me on my hunger (not enough samples).

OVERALL OPINION

Use for a week.
Particularity: Entire instrument hand, IMMEDIATE Available. Reliable OS.
Do not get bored with the pluggin's and Windaub.
I tried the KORG TR, nice but lightweight in sound. The Roland Fantom nice but I found the sound too east Techno (Notice that all staff).

I would make that choice again, never galrer Windaub with the pb sound cards (latency), the SHIFT and constantly renewed bp incomptabilit dongles and the fact of ending up with an obsolete machine you within 2 years APRS acquisition. Having a vritable instrument with a reliable OS is for music and nothing else. Arrter pluggin in the race makes you believe he has the solution of the IDAL.
I want to make music but no computer.
For the same price I had to choose between taking a more powerful PC or buy a musical instrument from Entire.
Knowing that every 2 years the same problmatique arise again I opt for the instrument and do not regret my RULING.
What fun! pb no latency, no more conflict, I play music and am Jene take my head on pure computer pb. In addition it is a beautiful instrument, it vibrates and has your bb. You love with its default and its quality. In short, you shall find me one.

Nothing to say ... I also think it is the synth that has the best rate quality / price.
It's true that it lacks separate outputs but the digital mixer is nice ... For four against the faders are really plastoks cheapos ... and unreliable +.

That's where we fit into the serious stuff! The bass is beautiful, acoustic or electric, brass as well that it takes a little éditers ... Nothing to say about wurli, claves etc ... is as realistic a movie tavern!

As against the quality of pottards and faders, it's foutage of mouth, I feel it could snap me in the legs if I do not just blunder ...

I'm still super happy because I always dreamed of having a pattern impressed me but the price too .... Yamaha has found a good way to boost our studios for a more reasonable price ...

Especially the ROM m'intressait since it is the same as that of the MOTIF ES (without the sampler recess). So many sounds the base, all in one versatile machine.

UTILIZATION

This is my first yamaha So Fast Fashion complte the pieces on the BTE is a bit complicated I got. I have not spent much time on it for the moment. I use a squenceur software. Otherwise the edition sounds occurs naturally if the adjacent exprience some other machines.
The manual is well done, just pass the time ncessaire above.

SOUNDS

The sounds are numerous, trs good quality and fairly "hot". I think it's a synth that is very practical to go with a group because the sound Integrates easily into the mix. I record most of the drum sounds in a virtual sampler for tweaking my sauce and trs was wrong. But all are gnral trs are good quality.
To compare, I find the phantom of Roland sounds cooler but I think it has a wider range of synthetic sounds in the factory.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had about three months and I have fun every day with prsque. I have a Korg Wavestation EX, I had a MC 505, and I chipotte with some plugs ...

+ What I like the warmth of her.
What I like - a few banks and more voices and performances would gn person.

The report price is unbeatable quality.

The use is quite intuitive departing to play sound and performance but it thickens and you start to use the sequencer ..
I would not say it's challenging, but it's full trs ..: D
Manual 235pages A4 printed on chlorine-free paper with ink and soybean oil seems environmentally xD (printed in Japan too!)
On the other hand it is clear trs, with many tricks of manipulation, and much Designed.

There is as usual, everything has been said and a small tower on the site builder is to be considered to be unbeatable on machinchose gray.
Little reminder anyway:
5 octave keyboard Forsythe everything is more normal, however you get used very fast and incredibly forgiving the inaccuracies that can be done on a heavy touch. Be careful, the MO has no aftershave ... Finally ... aftertouch.

except for some acoustic guitars, this one takes the best sounds ever produced for a synth, Motif ES that of course. OVERALL OPINION

I use it for two weeks and I only just beginning to harness the power contained in this gray box.
That model, which I think is much more designed for home-southerners and the scene as major studios or film music hobbyists who are respectively constrained by the complexity of the interface and 64 notes polyphony.
I tried the world before dégoter: MM6, JUNO, TR etc etc. With a budget of € 1000 new, it's the best choice you can do both this keyboard can create the desire to play and give ideas to compose.

Common features on this kind of workstation but without the sampling. Polyphony of 64, which is good enough for this machine. Many effects, a grain cold enough but powerful, ideal for leads, pads and pianos, as well for a few tablecloths.

UTILIZATION

Fairly easy to use, the Yamaha fairly standard for those who already connaisent these machines, how "voice" mode "perform" and "Master" mode. Same config for years ... Most is being able to memorize her favorite sounds and quickly recall them.

SOUNDS

This synth sound almost the same engine as patterns, sounds very good and varied. A machine that will suit particular dance, techno and trance. He also is doing pretty good for acoustic sounds but it is not strength.

OVERALL OPINION

I have a reason besides the rack MO6 (besides my other synths), comparing the level of sound quality will be better for a small notch rack, but the pattern value for price / performance the MO6 puts everyone to OK! I'm not ready to let go. In addition to the design I like enough ...

UTILIZATION

We can not control everything at once because the possibilities of the machine is important.

SOUNDS

The strong point is, the sounds settle all they are not suitable to my style but there are enough to baucoup styles.
The expression is bluffing.
Acoustic sounds such as pianos and violins are more realistic Roland (ex RD300GX), while other sounds are very good, very full bodied bass and crystalline in the highs.

I chose it after trying the m50 and karma korg, roland of the phantom, the Nord Lead keyboard.
I do not regret my choice.

what I like least: the knobs seem less solid ground than the series (but hey it's not the same price).
I also liked a button tap / tempo change tempo arpeggios in concert (it's more convenient).
on the other hand big sound (the same as the pattern es) and baucoup opportunities.
For less than 1000 euros I found nothing better for me because the compromise price / possibilis / sound is excellent.

Lots of good sounds BUT no sampleling. So i Cant add my own drums.

When i first used a Motif i couldnt get the seqeuncer to work for nothing but i guess i just didnt have enought time. It's quite easy to use. cant find out how to do bass slide in pattern mode yet though.

Brand New and i hope i never have a problem with this product

Its a Motif so you know the sound quality is tight. No noise like you hear in most of storch's tracks though.

I love this thing to death but i still use it with fl studio.
