Serato released a small update for its Serato DJ mixing software, that will be useful to Akai AMX users.
Update v1.7.1 for Serato DJ is compatible with the new Akai AMX 2-channel controller, which allows for controlling two turntables and get additional functionality such as music library browsing or track loading. The Akai AMX is Serato DVS-ready so you can use it to connect turntables or CD players and use the Serato Noisemaps vinyls/CDs to control Serato DJ.
The update also fixes two important issues: you can now rename the sessions in the History Panel and use the Sampler Pad mode with Hot Cues with the Pioneer DDJ-SZ.
Serato DJ v1.7.1 update is available for free download from serato.com.
